Kailangan nating tandaan na mayroong tamang prioridad sa buhay.
Hindi masama ang makisama at gumastos para sa ibang tao.

Pero malinaw ang sinasabi ng Biblia sa,
1 Timothy 5:8:
“But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.”

Ang tunay na pananampalataya ay nakikita sa paraan ng pagmamahal mo sa pamilya mo. Kasi ang pamilya mo ang unang binigay ni Lord sa’yo para alagaan. Kung kaya mong mag-invest ng effort at pera sa iba, pero kulang ang effort mo sa asawa, anak, magulang, o kapatid mo, baka may mali sayo.

Hindi sinasabing huwag kang maging generous sa iba. Ang point lang, unahin ang pamilya. Hindi lang ito tungkol sa pera, kundi pati oras, effort, at atensyon. Kasi kahit gaano ka pa ka-successful sa labas, kung sa loob ng bahay mo ay nakakaramdam sila ng kakulangan, kulang pa rin ang buhay mo.

Practical example: Kung kaya mong gumastos ng ₱1,000 sa night out kasama barkada, kaya mo rin maglaan ng ganun para sa simpleng dinner ng pamilya mo. Hindi yung uuwi ka galing sa night out tapos ipapa-ulam mo lang ay delata.

Kung kaya mong iregalo ang mahal na bagay sa kaibigan, kaya mo ring ipambili ng kailangan ng anak mo sa school, sa pang araw-araw.

Love is shown through priorities.

Hindi masama magbigay sa iba, pero huwag kang maging generous sa labas habang kuripot sa loob ng tahanan.

Kaya ka pinagpapala ni Lord para ang unang makinabang ay ang pamilya mo. At kapag sila ay maayos at napupunan, doon ka rin tunay na makakapagbigay ng mas malaki at mas totoo sa iba.

Kaya, bago ka sumama sa barkada, tanungin mo muna ang sarili mo.
“Na-provide ko na ba ang basic needs ng pamilya ko? Naparamdam ko na ba na sila ang priority ko?”

Kung oo, then go ahead and bless others. Pero kung hindi pa, unahin muna ang tahanan na iyong inuuwian.

Sa oras ng kagipitan, wala ka namang ibang malalapitan kundi ang pamilya mo pa rin. Tandaan, ang barkada, 80% sa kanila tatanggihan ka kapag ikaw ang nangangailangan.
