Every tattoo has its own process.

For this project, the existing Polynesian arm band became the foundation for a newly designed half-sleeve extension.

Custom patterns were developed for the upper and lower sections, bringing the entire piece together while maintaining its original character.

This new piece for Kael Delica is a tribute to his Tatay Joe Redoble, who recently passed away. He may not have been Kael’s father by blood, but he was the man who took him in, raised him, and became a father figure throughout his life.

Kael chose his Tatay’s birth date for this piece, keeping the date he came into this world permanently close to him. Simple Roman numerals, but behind them is a lifetime of memories and someone who meant a lot to him.

The cross below is Kael’s first tattoo with me, done a year ago and now fully healed. The Memento Vivere above is an existing piece by another artist.

For the man who may not have shared his blood, but shared a part of his life and helped shape the person he became. 🕊️
