We’re thrilled to reveal the winners of this year’s World TB Day Poster Competition for PGIs of SPMC! Your creativity and commitment to promoting tuberculosis awareness have been truly commendable.🥳

🏆 1st Place: GRP 11 (Manubag,Octaviano,Saljay) – ₱ 1,500
🥈 2nd Place: GRP 4 (Seniel,Omas-as,Galinato) – ₱ 1,000

✨Empowering healthcare providers, strengthening the fight against TB. ✨

📣In commemoration of World Tuberculosis Day 2026, the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) TB-DOTS, in collaboration with the Department of Health, conducted a "Reorientation on the National Tuberculosis Program Manual of Procedures 6th Edition and its Updates for Doctors, Nurses, and PGIs of SPMC".

📚This event provided valuable updates on TB diagnosis, treatment, and management, strengthening the capacity of healthcare professionals in combating the disease, while emphasizing the critical role of prevention through timely initiation and adherence to tuberculosis preventive treatment (TPT) in reducing future cases and breaking the chain of transmission.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this event a meaningful and impactful experience.​

In celebration of World Tuberculosis Day, the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) TB-DOTS, in collaboration with the Department of Health, conducted a Reorientation on the National Tuberculosis Program Manual of Procedures 6th Edition and its Updates for SPMC doctors and nurses. This event provided valuable updates on TB diagnosis, treatment, and management, strengthening the capacity of healthcare professionals in combating the disease. It emphasized the importance of continuous learning and collaboration in achieving TB elimination goals.​
