I started Wuilquin Salon December 2009 with its first location at Calumpang Avenue, SunMart Building with very humble begginings but with a heart full of passion & a dream. It was hard coz salon suppliers didn't took me seriously.I was never invited to any seminars / events. Fortunately being former pageant beauty queen,I have friends in the industry who tells me when there are seminars so even wi
thout invitation, I go to events & beg my way in. (I remember a particular well known brand who really didn't let me in coz I was once a no one. Unfortunately I can't mention them but I'm happy to inform you that now the tables have turned) I learned from tesda & secured my certificate. Also, I go to all seminars there is & ive learned & develop my craft from co workers & friends from the industry who are more than willing to mentor a rookie. I am proud to have started small, I was tested by circumstances how passionate I am, I have experienced to have lost much money because of my salon & lost all my employees because a bigger salon opened. That was my make / brake moment, but I didn't gave up, because I am on a mission. I took the challenge to make it & I did it. It was not easy, lots of sacrifices were made, but when you really want something you work hard for it. As of the moment year 2017, Wuilquin has 8 salon branches; an Academy that teaches salon skills to those who are willing to learn, specially the under privilege that is tesda certified; has our own distributorship of FDA approved salon products & salon needs. I have become the GenSan PICA president, my way of repaying my dept to my colleagues, a growing team, a team that serves the community & is still continually growing. For me, the most important thing is to give the clients the service they deserve & even more. To serve God & partner with him. To be able to do that. That is who we are.
