Your biases made you blind. There was one instance in history where the same thing happened to the Philippines.. it was during Martial Law.
They imprisoned political rivals and made up their own interpretation of the law. Sounds familiar? yeah because it is happening now.

The issue here is not whether Duterte is guilty (the law will prove that in court) , The real issue is the timing of the imprisonment and cases against pro-Duterte Senators with the clear intent to reduce the power of the minority votes.

Now you say "but they are guilty" (and In my honest opinion all congress and senators are since time immemorial) but if you look at Joel Villanueva, Escudero and even Dizon are suddenly made innocent because they are now allied with this admin.

It is as if this administration is clearly doing all it can to prevent Duterte from running in the future election.

Now if you're biased enough to be blind to what is happening you must be pro-Autocracy.

This is a clear violation of what a Democracy is.

So if you let this happen now (or worse support it). What makes you think this will not happen in the future?

From a UP Mindanao alumni to you UP students.. lose the red flag and maybe people will listen to you. You are marking yourselves as mere puppets of whoever that is influencing you.

Develop your own opinions, i know you are more intelligent than that , because like you i have been walking that campus trying to survive as a normal everyday student with the aspiration to become a professional someday.. and let me make this clear, what you're doing now is not the way to become part of the society, but maybe you do not want to be part of the society with much fire in your hearts but your parents/relatives are hoping you become one hence they tried so hard to get you the best education, and education should be your goal, not some extracurricular activities that mark you as deviant.

Let me tell you one another thing, of most things i am telling you right now, but this is the most important, What you do in college doesn't matter for a professional in real life, it is the grades that matter, and they will base their opinions about you by looking at your grades, if you hirable or not.,

It is not the way we would hope it to be but it is the reality of it whether you like it or not. If you're going to be admitted in another prestigious school or not. UP is just another stepping stone and stepping stones are called that way because they are mere stepping stones.

So wake up and at least ponder on the things i have written because i have seen a few of my batch mates who have fallen to the temptation only to end up shocked about the truth of life, that doors of opportunity are closed for them even before they can knock.

This is not the Philippines anymore, Our country is comprised of DDS, Pinklawans and Bangags.

Every politician is vying to take control of the nation as the ruling class without even thinking of the consequences of their actions.

We are plunging deep into chaos as election is nearing with the Philippine peso sinking against the dollar.

I think it is high time we separate from each other be it a form of federal government or worse a different country.

Does the NPA realize that they are also the reason why far-flung areas are one of the poorest communities in the Philippines?

1. Their activities cause more isolation from businesses, infrastructures and modernization. (i.e Electricity, Internet and communication among all others)

2. Revolutionary taxes burden poor farmers more.

3. The threat of constant war disrupts everyday living and peace in the areas where they are active.

4. Increased criminality due to government authorities are apprehensive in doing their duties because of constant threat of ambushes.

The fact that they are selfish (just thinking about their propaganda) and not for the Filipinos overall is reason enough not to support them.
