During the operations, the water level in the Matina River rose continuously due to heavy rainfall in the upland areas of Matina Biao. The river reached ๐—–๐—ผ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ ๐—ข๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ด๐—ฒ (๐—”๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜ ๐—Ÿ๐—ฒ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—น) and was moving toward ๐—–๐—ผ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ (๐—–๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—Ÿ๐—ฒ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—น).

Fortunately, the rainfall stopped in the uplands of ๐— ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฎ ๐—•๐—ถ๐—ฎ๐—ผ, the water levels in both the ๐— ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฎ ๐—ฃ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ด๐—ถ ๐—ฅ๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ and ๐— ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฎ ๐—–๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐˜€๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ฅ๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ began to gradually subside.

At the height of the critical flooding, floodwaters reached a dangerous maximum level of above the head, trapping residents inside their homes. All rescue teams present at the scene, operated under extreme conditions to safely extricate civilians from the deep waters. Through effort, all teams remained on-site as the waters gradually subsided into the early morning hours.
