Advancing the Mission of Cor Mariae
Steady Progress at Cor Mariae Home Care Foundation

The Board of Directors of the Cor Mariae Home Care Foundation convened on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at the Cor Mariae facility in One Heart, Sta. Filomena, Dipolog City, to review the continuing progress of the foundation and discuss updates on its management and operational procedures.

Present during the meeting were Bishop Severo C. Caermare, DD; Issa Recentes; Karen Adraincem; William Uy; Dr. Jessie Tiu; Fr. Cesar Tinga; Msgr. Joel Montederamos; Engr. Jenever Padayhag; and Armand B. Frasco.

The meeting focused on strengthening the systems and procedures that will guide the operations of Cor Mariae as it prepares to fulfill its mission of providing compassionate, dignified, and well-equipped care for the city’s elderly population.

Led by Bishop Severo C. Caermare and supported by Sherly Cheng and Cor Mariae Home Care Foundation Oregon, the initiative continues to move steadily toward its vision. The home for the elderly is the realization of the vision first conceived by Bishop Jose “Joe” Manguiran, whose commitment to caring for senior citizens inspired the establishment of the foundation.

As another milestone is reached, the Cor Mariae Home Care Foundation expresses its sincere gratitude to everyone whose generosity, encouragement, and support have helped transform this vision into reality. Through the collective efforts of its benefactors, partners, volunteers, and the wider community, Cor Mariae continues to grow into a place where compassion, dignity, and Christian service come together in caring for those who have given so much throughout their lives. Cor Mariae Home Care Foundation Welcomes New Board Members, Strengthens Commitment to Elderly

Dipolog City, April 7, 2026 — The Board of Directors of Cor Mariae Home Care Foundation convened today to formally welcome new members and address key matters concerning the management and continued development of the home care facility.

Present during the meeting were Most Reverend Severo C. Caermare, D.D., Chairman of the Board; Issa F. Recentes; Gerald T. Co**ha; William Y. Uy; Jenever A. Padayhag; Armand B. Frasco; Rev. Fr. Cesar Tinga; and Dr. Jessie Tiu.

In his opening remarks, Bishop Caermare warmly welcomed Issa F. Recentes and Dr. Gerald T. Co**ha as the newest members of the Board. Recognizing their standing in the community, he expressed sincere gratitude for their spirit of voluntarism and conveyed confidence that their professional expertise and experience will contribute meaningfully to strengthening the foundation’s operations and mission.

Ms. Recentes currently serves as a bank manager and is an active member of the Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP). Dr. Co**ha is the Vice President for Student Affairs, External Affairs, and Linkages at DMC College Foundation.

Cor Mariae Home Care Foundation (Heart of Mary) is a residential care facility for the elderly located in Sta. Isabel, Dipolog City. It is a flagship project of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Dipolog, under the leadership of Bishop Severo C. Caermare, D.D., and guided by a Board of Directors composed of respected professionals in medicine, business, and public service.

The foundation was formally organized in December 2019, marked by the groundbreaking of its initial structures. The initiative traces its origins to the vision of Bishop Jose Manguiran and reached a significant milestone with its soft opening in August 2024.

The Foundation likewise recognizes the invaluable contributions of Ms. Sherly Cheng, along with her family, friends, benefactors, volunteers, and performers, whose collective support has been pivotal in the establishment and continued operations of Cor Mariae Home Care Foundation.
