NOTICE TO ALL RESIDENTS OF EL SALVADOR CITY!

Starting OCTOBER 5, 2026, the City Government of El Salvador, through the City Local Environment and Natural Resources Office (CLENRO) in collaboration with all Barangays, will begin the strict implementation of the Solid Waste Management provisions under City Ordinance No. 02-S. 2013 – Environment Code of El Salvador City across ALL BARANGAYS of El Salvador City.

LET US REMEMBER:

🚯 NO LITTERING
Under Sec. 59, throwing, disposing of, or leaving any kind of waste in public places such as roads, canals, esteros, parks, and vacant lots is prohibited.

🔥 NO OPEN DUMPING OR BURNING OF SOLID WASTE
Under Sec. 19, open dumping or burning of solid waste is prohibited.

🗑️ SEGREGATE YOUR WASTE AT SOURCE
Under Sec. 65, waste must be properly segregated and properly collected/handled.

🚫 NO PLASTIC BAGS AND STYROFOAM
Under Secs. 61, 62 & 63, the use and distribution of plastic bags and styrofoam are prohibited.

⚠️ PENALTIES

Under Sec. 136:

🔴 1st Offense: ₱500 and/or 4 hours community service
🔴 2nd Offense: ₱1,000 and/or 8 hours community service
🔴 3rd Offense: ₱5,000 and/or 30 hours community service

Other violations may likewise be subject to the corresponding penalties provided under the Environment Code.

🦟 DENGUE ADVOCACY PROGRAM

Strengthening the 5's Strategy for a Dengue-Free Barangay Sinaloc

📍 Venue: Mini Theater, LGU – El Salvador City

Fifteen (15) Barangay Health Education Promotion Officers together with DSSA Staff gathered for this meaningful activity, aimed at raising awareness and inspiring collective action to eliminate dengue breeding sites and protect every family in our community.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our Resource Speaker, Sir Aldo C. Obenza, Sanitation Inspector IV, for sharing his valuable expertise and guidance. We also thank the City Health Office team led by Dr. Miravel Tangcalagan, City Health Officer, Dr. Adrian Jed Garrett Lucero, Assistant City Health Officer, Sir Meljude Abang of the Sanitation Section, and Sir Joshua Solomon, HEPU Coordinator.

🌿Orientation on Herbal Medicine Preparation for Misamis Oriental🌿

A meaningful and informative day dedicated to learning about the 10 herbal medicines recognized and promoted by the Department of Health (DOH), including their proper preparation, uses, and responsible application in the community. 🌱💚

The orientation was attended by BHW Coordinator Sarah Mae M. Luza, RHM, together with BHW Federated President of El Salvador City, Ma’am Anita, and Health Education and Promotion Officer (HEPO) Nelyn D. Cepe.

This activity serves as an important opportunity to strengthen the knowledge and skills of our community health workers, enabling them to share appropriate health information and promote the safe and responsible use of herbal medicines.

Our heartfelt gratitude to all the pregnant mommies who participated in our Prenatal Care activities on September 10–11, 2026.

🌸 Thursday, September 10 – Prenatal care was conducted by Ma’am Sarah Mae M. Luza, RHM, and Ma’am Aileen Claire E. Villasan, NDP, with the assistance of the Thursday Duty BHWs.

🌸 Friday, September 11 – Prenatal care was conducted by Ma’am Aileen Claire E. Villasan, NDP, together with Ma’am Ada Angelica Aspacio, NDP, and assisted by the Friday Duty BHWs.

📚💚 As part of the IEC Campaign, the Friday Duty team conducted a health education session for our pregnant mommies with the topics Maternal Care and Pinggang Pinoy, emphasizing the importance of proper nutrition, healthy pregnancy practices, and maternal well-being.

Together, let us continue to educate, empower, and support every mother toward a safe and healthy pregnancy. 💕👶

💗 IDOL KO SI NANAY | 3-DAY ACTIVITY & GRADUATION DAY 💗

A meaningful and empowering 3-day journey for our pregnant moms and first-time mothers of Sinaloc, El Salvador City! 👩‍🍼🤰✨

Held on September 8–10, the Idol Ko Si Nanay activity was filled with valuable lessons, sharing, and practical knowledge to help every mother become more confident in caring for herself and her little one. 🌸👶

✨Nurse Aileen Claire E. Villasan shared important information about Postpartum Care, reminding mothers of the importance of taking care of themselves after giving birth.

✨ BHW Jojie Mae Relegaño discussed Module 7: Caring for the Sick Child, equipping moms with knowledge on how to properly care for their children when they are unwell.

✨ Barangay HEPO Nelyn Cepe discussed Module 5: Care for the Newborn, including proper newborn care, feeding the newborn, expressing breast milk, and cup feeding. 🤱🍼

✨ Our BNS also shared valuable information about infants, focusing on proper care, nutrition, and healthy growth and development. 👶💕

🌸 On the 3rd day, September 10, our Graduation Day was made more meaningful with the presence of our City Nutrition Office representatives, led by Head/City Nutrition Action Officer (CNAO) Arlie Joy O. Damiles, together with CNPC Edgar B. Napiñas, Jay Boctot, and two interns from Central Mindanao University (CMU).

Their presence and support added inspiration and encouragement to our participating mothers as they celebrated the completion of this meaningful 3-day journey. 🎓💗

To all the wonderful moms who participated, you are truly an inspiration! 🌷 Your willingness to learn, prepare, and grow as mothers is something to be proud of.

Because behind every healthy and happy child is a mother who is loving, strong, and empowered. ❤️

School-Based Immunization IEC

Conducted an IEC session for parents of Grade 7 – Sinaloc National High School, Grade 1 – Sinaloc Elementary School, and Grade 4 girls on MRTD and HPV vaccination.

Led by Ma’am Diane Ebajay, Communicable Disease Coordinator, together with Ma’am Aileen Estoque Villasan, NDP; Ma’am Sarah Mae Luza, RHM; and the Barangay HEPO.

Thank you to the Sinaloc National High School and Sinaloc Elementary School principals, teachers, and all the parents and guardians for your support and cooperation.

Together, let’s protect our children through immunization! 💙💉
