A resounding success! 🎉🧪

The 2nd Bicol Toxicology Convention successfully brought together healthcare professionals, experts, and advocates for two days of learning, collaboration, and meaningful exchange of knowledge in the field of toxicology.

From insightful lectures and engaging discussions to valuable networking and shared experiences, the event was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen our knowledge and commitment to improving the prevention, recognition, and management of toxicologic emergencies.

Special thanks to our esteemed speakers Dr. JD Commandante Dr. Paul Lawrence Filomeno, Dr. Rutchelle Simene, Dr. Lalyn Marzan, Dr Brian Tiopengco, Dr. EJ Agaid, Mam Grace Bedis and Engr Reuben Espartinez. Thank you for generously sharing your knowledge, expertise, and valuable insights with us.

Thanks Dr Ja Froyalde and Dr. Thea Suratos, and to our overall chairperson, Sharon Rigney, for their leadership and dedication.

Credit and appreciation to our Master of Ceremonies, Ms. Marichu Cezar. Our IT team, Sir MJ and Sir Lew; our official photographer, Sir JP Saquit; and our Co-Chair for Transportation. Thank you all for your valuable support and contribution to making our event a success!

I would also like to commend Ms. Lorie for her invaluable help and support in making this convention a success. To all our Toxicology staff, Ms. Mae Clavillas, Ms. Pat, and all our Tox Nurses, Mam Mona, Mam Veron, Mam Celine and Sir Yami thank you for your hard work, teamwork, and commitment. Your efforts behind the scenes and on the ground truly made a difference.

This success is a reflection of what we can accomplish when we work together.

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our dear Malyn Goce, our beloved Tox Analyst.

Malyn was not only a dedicated member of our team, but also a kind, genuine, and good-hearted person who touched the lives of many through her warmth, compassion, and dedication to her work.

Her presence will be deeply missed, but the memories she created and the values she shared will remain with us. We are grateful for the time we had with her and for the contributions she made to our Poison Center and the people we serve.

We will continue the legacy she started, carrying forward her dedication, kindness, and passion for the work she loved.

Rest peacefully, Malyn 🕊️You will forever be remembered, cherished, and missed.

"Clicks, Trends & Consequences: Preventing Poisoning in the Digital Age."
In today's digital world, information spreads with just one click. While social media can educate and inspire, it can also promote dangerous trends, misinformation, and unsafe practices that may lead to poisoning.

Through this celebration, we reaffirm our commitment to raising awareness, promoting evidence-based health information, and empowering our communities to make informed decisions.
Every click matters, every trend should be questioned, and every action has consequences.

2. Lumikas agad- kung nasa hazard zone, huwag mag-atubiling umalis s lugar.

3. Maghanda ng emergency kit- kabilang ang tubig, pagkain, first-aid, flashlight, at face mask.

4. Iwasan ang ilog ang mababang lugar- Maaring tumaas ang baha at lahar.

5. Manatiling nasa ligtas na lugar- Huwag pumasok sa restricted zones kahit na "mabilis lang"
