Para naman sa aming passionate 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀, maraming salamat sa inyong 𝗱𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆, at mahalagang serbisyo throughout the event. Ang inyong willingness to 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱, 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁, at maglingkod sa komunidad ay patunay ng kapangyarihan ng kabataan sa paglikha ng 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲.

As we gather for this year’s International AIDS Candlelight Memorial, we unite our hearts in remembrance of the lives lost to AIDS-related illnesses and in solidarity with the millions of people around the world who continue to live with HIV. This memorial is more than a ceremony of candles and silence — it is a movement of compassion, awareness, courage, and hope.

Every candle lit symbolizes a story remembered, a life honored, and a commitment to continue the fight against stigma, discrimination, and misinformation. We remember the advocates, healthcare workers, volunteers, friends, families, and community members whose love and efforts continue to inspire change and save lives.

Today, we are reminded that the battle against HIV and AIDS is not yet over. There is still a need to educate communities, promote safe spaces, strengthen access to healthcare, and empower people through awareness and acceptance. Through unity and action, we can continue building a future where everyone is treated with dignity, respect, and equality regardless of status, gender identity, or background.

Let this memorial serve as a call to continue the legacy of compassion and advocacy — to speak louder against stigma, to stand firmer for human rights, and to become lights of hope for those who feel unseen and unheard. Every Month of May, millions of people across 115+ countries gather for the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial. But here’s the truth: this commemoration isn't just about looking back with grief—it’s about moving forward with fierce solidarity and action.

Started way back in 1983 during the height of the crisis, this grassroots movement was built by communities who refused to let their loved ones be forgotten. Today, the flame burns brighter than ever.
