PCOS to PMOS

Changing the name from PCOS matters more than some people realize.

Because words shape how conditions are understood.

Polycystic ovarian syndrome made it sound like the defining feature was cysts on ovaries.

So what happened?

Women without visible cysts were told they couldn’t possibly have it.
Symptoms affecting the entire body got brushed off.
The conversation got reduced to periods and fertility, while the metabolic and hormonal side was often overlooked.

Meanwhile, women were living with exhaustion, insulin resistance, rapid weight changes, acne, hair loss, irregular cycles, inflammation, and feeling like their body was working against them.
