๐ฟ DAY 1 | MHPSS TRAINING 2026
A meaningful and empowering Day 1 of the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Training was successfully conducted at Himaya Hall, Himamaylan City, spearheaded by Mrs. Mary Kathleen G. Zapanta, Mental Health Program Coordinator. ๐
The first day began with engaging activities designed to build connection, trust, and openness among the participants. The group had the opportunity to get to know the guest speakers and fellow participants, composed of Division School Heads and Guidance Counselors from different schools in Himamaylan City.
The participants actively took part in various learning activities, including:
๐งโโ๏ธ Body Map Activity
๐ค Small Group Sharing
๐จ Disaster and Emergencies
๐ฑ Well-being, Coping, and Resilience
These activities provided a safe and supportive space for participants to share experiences, understand the impact of stress and difficult situations, and learn practical ways to strengthen well-being, coping mechanisms, and resilienceโespecially in supporting learners, teachers, and school communities during challenging times.
The MHPSS Training is a 3-day capacity-building activity that aims to enhance the knowledge, skills, and confidence of school personnel in providing appropriate mental health and psychosocial support, promoting psychological well-being, strengthening resilience, and responding effectively to the mental health needs of individuals and communities, particularly during disasters and emergencies. ๐ง ๐
โจ Day 1: Building Connections. Understanding Well-being. Strengthening Resilience.
Together, let us continue creating safe, supportive, and mentally healthy schools and communities.
