☀️ Good morning! ☀️
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” — Matthew 22:37
This verse teaches us that loving God is not meant to be something we do only on Sundays, during prayer, or when we are facing difficulties. Jesus calls us to love God with every part of who we are. It is a complete and wholehearted love.
To love God with all our heart means that He should have the first place in our desires, emotions, and priorities. There are many things that can compete for our attention—our ambitions, relationships, money, worries, and personal plans. This verse reminds us to ask ourselves whether God truly comes first in our lives.
To love God with all our soul means giving Him our entire life. It means trusting Him even when we do not understand what is happening. Sometimes we may experience disappointment, failure, loss, or uncertainty. Yet loving God means continuing to believe that He is faithful, even when life does not go according to our plans.
To love God with all our mind means allowing Him to influence the way we think. We live in a world filled with many voices telling us what is important, what success looks like, and where our value comes from. Loving God means choosing to listen to His Word and allowing His truth to shape our decisions, attitudes, and understanding.
There are also times when our faith becomes weak. We may feel distant from God, become distracted, or struggle to pray. Matthew 22:37 reminds us that God is still worthy of our whole heart. We do not need to wait until we feel spiritually strong before coming to Him. We can come to Him honestly and ask Him to renew our love and strengthen our faith.
