12March2026 | Look! Mercy Community Hospital, Inc. - Hemodialysis Unit actively joins the float parade from Ludo Building in Tomas Cabili Street (Cabili Avenue) in Poblacion, Iligan City to Paseo de Santiago, Iligan City in celebration of the World Kidney Day, today.

The float parade showcased 8 golden rules for kidney health and Mercy portraying a water-themed float which is the number 5 rule which means (staying hydrated).

Here are the 8 golden rules for maintaining kidney health, based on recommendations from World Kidney Day 2026 and the National Kidney Foundation:

1. Keep Fit and Active
2. Eat a Healthy Diet
3. Control Blood Sugar
4. Monitor Blood Pressure
5. Maintain Proper Fluid Intake
6. Do Not Smoke
7. Limit Over-the-Counter (OTC) Pills
8. Get Kidney Function Checked

Happy 20 years World Kidney Day with this years theme: "Caring for people, protecting the planet".

📍🇵🇭 - 7 February 2026 - Among the corporal works of MERCY are to feed the hungry and to give drinks to the thirsty. Indeed, the Religious Sisters of Mercy - Philippines, quickly responded to the needs of the community by delivering food and water to the affected barangays hit by the tropical depression ‘Basyang’ (international name Penha) on 5th - 7th February, 2026.

On 7th February, the Mercy Community Hospital, Inc. visited the evacuation centers in Tambacan Barangay Hall, Tambacan, Iligan City Lanao del Norte and in South 1-A Central School, Tubod, Iligan City Lanao del Norte for food and water distribution. These approaches are their compassionate response to the immediate and most basic needs of the victims.

12.12.2025 | BLESSING OF THE NEW MCHI Chapel.

December 12th is a significant day for the Religious Sisters of Mercy (worldwide) as they celebrate their Foundation day, commemorating the establishment of their order in 1831. That makes them 194 years of existence.

In line with this celebration is the blessing of its new chapel celebrated by Bishop Jose Ramirez Rapadas III, MCHI’s Chairman of the Board.

Starting December 12, 2025, MCHI is pleased to announce the opening of a new MCHI chapel, a dedicated space for spiritual reflection, meditation, and prayer for patients, doctors, families, employees, and clients.

MCHI is beyond grateful towards the initiators Sister Rose (+) and Sister Julpha, the Religious Sisters of Mercy (past and present), and the people whose significant contributions made this “dream become a reality”.
