The PuroKalusugan Program once again brought essential healthcare services closer to the people of Barangay Lumpanac. Through the collaborative efforts of Imelda RHU staff and HRH Imelda, residents were able to access nutrition services, immunization, cancer screening, and monitoring and follow-up for non-communicable diseases. The Municipal Health Office Staff, HRH Imelda and BHWs are honored to have been part of the Nutrition Month activities in partnership with our Municipal Nutrition Action Officer, Ms. Jane Teñaflor, and with the support of the LGU Imelda headed by Mayor Arnoldo Famor. The celebration featured various activities, including Backyard Gardening, Purok Assessment, and the School Slogan and Poster Making Contests, where our health staff actively participated and served as judges.

During the Nutrition Month Culmination Program, our Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Myrna Cabral-Salomes, delivered an inspiring message emphasizing the importance of proper nutrition, healthy lifestyles, and collective action in building a healthier community. Dr. Myrna Salomes and Mr. Kim Arvi Flores cascaded the latest updates on the implementation of the PhilPEN Protocol to the field staff and recalibrated the team’s approach to the new intervention strategies. This initiative aims to help prevent and reduce the progression of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), particularly hypertension and diabetes, through proper risk assessment, early detection and diagnosis, timely treatment, and effective disease control and management.
We also extend our congratulations to Ms. Richel Quiosay and Ms. Lady Jane Dalogdog for achieving the highest scores in the examination. We thank all staff for the dedication for public health service. 😊❤️
