🧊 NAKAKAUBO BA ANG MALAMIG NA INUMIN?🤔

Ano talaga ang nangyayari?

1. Irritation ng lalamunan
Ang sobrang lamig na inumin pwedeng magdulot ng panandaliang iritasyon, lalo na kung sensitibo ang throat → kaya napapaubo.

2. Existing sipon o infection
Kung may viral infection (like common cold), mas napapansin ang ubo kapag umiinom ng malamig—pero hindi yung malamig ang sanhi, kundi yung virus.

3. Postnasal drip / sipon
Pag may sipon, may tumutulong mucus sa lalamunan → pwedeng mag-trigger ng ubo, at mas ramdam minsan pag malamig ang iniinom.

4. Asthma or sensitive airways
Sa ibang bata/adult na may hika, ang lamig pwedeng mag-trigger ng coughing.

* ❌ “Nakakaubo ang malamig” → Myth (hindi siya root cause)
* ✅ “Pwedeng mag-trigger ng ubo kung may underlying condition” → Fact

👶 For kids

* Okay lang uminom ng malamig kung walang symptoms
* Iwas muna kung:
* may ubo na
* may sore throat
* may asthma trigger

✔️ Practical advice

* Kung inuubo after cold drinks → try muna maligamgam na tubig
* Observe kung consistent trigger (baka may sensitivity or asthma)
* Kung tuloy-tuloy ubo (>1–2 weeks), may lagnat, or hirap huminga → consult na
* Kung mas maliliit na bata o infants hindi kailangan antayin ang 1 week dapat magpa-check up kaagad
