Hepatitis B can be present without obvious symptoms, which is why knowing your status matters. The HBsAg (Hepatitis B Surface Antigen) Test helps detect whether Hepatitis B infection is present.

🔬 Why get an HBsAg test?
✅ Early detection of Hepatitis B infection
✅ Helps guide further testing and medical evaluation
✅ Helps protect your family and loved ones
✅ Helps prevent possible liver complications
✅ Important for certain work, school, travel, pregnancy, and medical requirements

⚠️ If your result is REACTIVE:
A reactive HBsAg result means Hepatitis B surface antigen was detected. It does not by itself determine the full status or severity of the infection. Consult a doctor for appropriate follow-up tests and evaluation, which may include HBeAg, Anti-HBc, HBV DNA, and liver function tests.

💉 What about the Hepatitis B vaccine?
The vaccine is for people who are not infected and are not already adequately protected. If your HBsAg is reactive, do not assume you need the vaccine—consult a doctor for proper evaluation and management.
