RHU-1 EAST— proudly joins the celebration of National Buntis Day with the theme “Traditional Roots and Innovation in Nurturing Mothers.” This meaningful activity highlights the importance of blending traditional maternal care practices with modern approaches to ensure safe pregnancy and positive health outcomes for both mother and baby.
The program featured informative discussions on essential maternal topics, including pregnancy care tips, proper nutrition, and key maternal health services. These sessions aimed to empower expectant mothers with the knowledge and confidence they need throughout their pregnancy journey.
The activity was also graced by the presence of our Rural Health Physician Dra.Sha Angsa and Maternal and child Health Program nurse Coordinator, Ma’am Penchie Hontucan whose support and guidance further strengthened the delivery of maternal health services in the community.
To promote wellness and an active lifestyle, participants also enjoyed a Zumba session, encouraging safe and fun physical activity for pregnant mothers. In addition, buntis kits were distributed to all participants as part of our continued support in promoting maternal health and preparedness.
As part of the activity, participants were also given a guided tour of our BEmONC facility to familiarize them with the available services, equipment, and life-saving interventions for mothers and newborns.
RHU-1 EAST remains committed to providing quality, accessible, and compassionate care—nurturing healthier mothers and stronger communities. 💙💚❤️
