Our Adolescent Symposium is more than just a lecture—it is a space where young people can ask questions, express themselves, learn about their health, understand their choices, and discover the importance of making informed and responsible decisions. 🗣️💡

📚 Through our discussions on adolescent health, puberty, mental health, substance use prevention, teenage pregnancy prevention, healthy relationships, and other issues affecting young people, we empower our adolescents to become more confident, informed, and responsible individuals.

💙 KATROPA: Kalalakihang Tapat sa Responsibilidad at Obligasyon sa Pamilya 💙
Isang makabuluhang araw para sa kalalakihan ng Sto. Domingo, Dumawing, at Bannawag! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Naging bahagi tayo ng isang makabuluhang talakayan na naglalayong palakasin ang responsableng pagkalalaki, aktibong pakikilahok ng kalalakihan sa family planning, at pagkakaroon ng bukas na komunikasyon sa loob ng pamilya.

Sa pamamagitan ng KATROPA, hinihikayat natin ang mga kalalakihan na maging kaagapay at katuwang sa pagpaplano ng pamilya—dahil ang responsibilidad sa pamilya ay hindi lamang para sa babae, kundi para sa parehong mag-asawa. 🤝

The 𝙅𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙨 𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙚𝙧 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝘾𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧, in partnership with DOH Cagayan Valley, is bringing essential diagnostic services closer to the community through the 𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐗-𝐑𝐀𝐘 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐕𝐀𝐍! 💙
This activity aims to promote early detection and timely identification of possible lung and chest conditions, particularly among individuals who may be at risk for Tuberculosis (TB) and other respiratory illnesses.

📢 WHO CAN AVAIL?
The Chest X-ray Caravan is intended for eligible community members, particularly:
👤 Individuals with signs and symptoms suggestive of TB or other respiratory conditions
👤 Close contacts of individuals diagnosed with TB
👤 Individuals identified or referred by health workers for chest X-ray examination
👤 Clients undergoing TB screening and evaluation
👤 Other priority individuals as identified by the health facility/program
💡 Remember: Early detection can lead to early consultation, appropriate diagnostic evaluation, and timely treatment.

Do not ignore persistent cough, fever, unexplained weight loss, night sweats, difficulty breathing, or other concerning respiratory symptoms.

“Not all coughs are TB. Let us learn, recognize, and respond. 🩺💙”

The Jones Super Health Center conducted a learning and sharing session on Paragonimiasis and the Interim Guidelines on its Management and Control with our Rural Health Midwives (RHMs) and 42 Barangay Health Workers- TB Coordinators.

Paragonimiasis is a neglected tropical disease caused by lung flukes (Paragonimus species) that can affect the lungs and may be mistaken for tuberculosis due to similar symptoms such as prolonged cough and blood-streaked sputum. Strengthening awareness among our health workers and communities is essential for early recognition, proper diagnosis, timely treatment, and prevention.

May this shared knowledge help strengthen our community health programs and encourage early consultation. Together, let us continue learning, sharing, and working hand in hand for a healthier Jones community. 🙏🩺
