Protect your child's vision this Sight Saving Month!✨

Good vision is not only about seeing clearly -- it helps children learn better, play safely, and develop confidently.

Here are 5 Simple Eye-Care Tips for Children:

✅ Spend at least 2 hours outdoors every day. Natural outdoor light has been shown to help reduce the risk of developing and progressing myopia (nearsightedness).

✅ Follow the 20-20-20 rule. Every 20 minutes of near work, look at something 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds. This helps reduce digital eye strain.

✅ Keep screens at a proper distance. Hold phones and tablets about 30–40 cm (12–16 in) away, and avoid using them while lying down.

✅ Encourage regular breaks from reading and gadgets. Continuous near work for long periods is associated with increased risk of myopia progression.

✅ Schedule regular comprehensive eye examinations. Children may not realize their vision is blurry. Early detection of refractive errors, binocular vision problems, and myopia progression is important.

Watch for these signs:
🚩Sitting very close to the TV
🚩Holding gadgets too near
🚩Squinting
🚩Frequent headaches
🚩Rubbing the eyes often
🚩Losing interest in reading or schoolwork
