🦟💚 DENGUE AWARENESS MONTH CELEBRATION 2026 💚🦟

United in action, committed to prevention!

The Dengue Awareness Month Celebration 2026 was successfully conducted in Barangay Gabuyan, Kapalong, Davao del Norte, bringing together local leaders, health workers, and community volunteers in a shared commitment to protect every Kapalonganon from dengue.

This meaningful activity was spearheaded by the Local Government Unit of Kapalong through the Municipal Health Office, under the leadership of Louelyn H. Exala, MD, DPCOM, Municipal Health Officer, with the full support of Municipal Mayor Edgardo L. Timbol.

The success of the event was made possible through the active cooperation of the Barangay Local Government Unit of Gabuyan, led by Barangay Captain Edilberto D. Martinez, Jr., together with Barangay Captains, Committee on Health Chairpersons, Barangay Sanitation Inspectors (BSI), Barangay Health Workers (BHW), and Associations of Purok Leaders (APL) from various barangays of the Municipality of Kapalong.

A special learning session was delivered by Marife B. Tampadong, Provincial Sanitation Inspector III and FWBD Coordinator from the Provincial Health Office, who shared valuable information on dengue prevention, environmental sanitation, and the importance of community participation in eliminating mosquito breeding sites.

This celebration serves as a reminder that preventing dengue is not only the responsibility of health workers and local officials—it is a responsibility shared by every household and every member of the community.
