In Belison, Antique, these vaccinated children are taking a simple but important step toward a healthier future. Through the MR-SIA, they received the measles-rubella vaccine, which is free, safe, and effective in protecting children from measles and rubella. Their smiles after vaccination remind us that every little child deserves the chance to grow healthy, protected, and free from vaccine-preventable diseases.

𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟏𝟗 𝐢𝐬 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐮𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲.

In celebration of this important day, the Kawayan Primary Care Facility in coordination with the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) through the Biliran Provincial Health Office (PHO) is conducting an Active Casefinding (ACF) through provision of Free Chest X-Ray services at Barangay Kansanoc also catering individuals from nearby barangays.

This initiative aims to intensify community awareness on tuberculosis, promote early detection and screening, reduce delays in diagnosis and treatment, and help fight the stigma often associated with TB. Through early identification of cases, individuals can access timely treatment, prevent complications, and reduce the spread of the disease within the community.

With its health promotion slogan “𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐢, 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐩𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐭, 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐓𝐏𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐨!” the community is encouraged to:
✔️ 𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐢 - get tested or screened for tuberculosis
✔️ 𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐩𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐭 - seek medical treatment immediately if positive
✔️ 𝐦𝐚𝐠-𝐓𝐏𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐨 - enroll in TB Preventive Therapy (TPT) program to stop the infection before it develops into active disease

Tuberculosis is preventable, treatable, and curable. By working together, we can end TB, save lives, and build healthier communities.
