🏥 Purok Kalusugan | Sitio T'nuos, Brgy. Takunel

The Barangay Health Station (BHS) Takunel, in coordination with RHU Lake Sebu, successfully conducted a Purok Kalusugan at Sitio T'nuos, bringing essential health services closer to the community.

Services provided included Immunization, Prenatal Check-up, Family Planning, Medical Consultation, Nutrition Services, PhilHealth Registration and Updating, and Health Education.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Rural Health Unit (RHU) Lake Sebu headed by Municipal Health Officer Dr. Arenz Jade C. Docdocil, Dr. Irish Floramae Jacinto and the PhilHealth YAKAP Encoders Team, the Barangay Officials of Barangay Takunel, Rural Health Midwife, the HRH Midwife assigned in Barangay, the PFHNs, BHWs, and BNS for their invaluable support, collaboration, and dedication in ensuring the success of this activity.

We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to all residents of Sitio T'nuos who participated and availed of the services. Through teamwork and community participation, we continue to bring quality healthcare closer to the people.💪🙌

PFHN and BHW Monthly Meeting 📢

The PFHNs and Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) successfully conducted their monthly meeting together with the Rural Health Midwife (RHM) and HRH Midwife to discuss important health updates, ongoing programs, accomplishments, and upcoming activities in the community.

The meeting provided an opportunity to strengthen coordination among health workers, address community health concerns, review reports, and plan strategies to improve the delivery of health services in Barangay Takunel.

Through collaboration and teamwork, our PFHNs, BHWs, RHM, and HRH Midwife remain committed to providing quality healthcare services and promoting the health and well-being of every family in the community.

NUTRITION AND HEALTH OUTREACH ACTIVITY 📢

The Provincial Nutrition Office of South Cotabato successfully conducted a nutrition and health outreach activity at the Sitio Lutayan Evacuation Site.

The activity was attended by evacuees from Sitio T'bong, Sitio Proper, and Sitio Lutayan, who actively participated in the various services provided. The team conducted Health Education Sessions, Mid-Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC) Assessment to help identify nutritional status, and the distribution of food packs to support affected families during their stay at the evacuation site.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Provincial Nutrition Office of South Cotabato for their commitment and support in promoting the health and well-being of our communities, especially during times of need.

Together, we continue to work towards a healthier and more resilient community.

SUCCESSFUL ACTIVITY | HEALTHY TAU SBU – Usapang Pangkalusugan sa Barangay: Diabetes Awareness Week 🎉

The Barangay Health Station (BHS) Takunel successfully conducted the Healthy Tau Sbu – Usapang Pangkalusugan sa Barangay: Diabetes Awareness Week at the Barangay Takunel Gymnasium, Lake Sebu.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Resource Speaker, Dr. Shielo C. Ofong, RM, RN, MD, for sharing valuable knowledge and insights on diabetes prevention, management, and healthy lifestyle practices.

We would also like to thank the Rural Health Unit (RHU) Lake Sebu staff headed by Dr. Arenz Jade C. Docdocil, Municipal Health Officer, together with our barangay officials, BHWs, and all participants, for their unwavering support and active participation that made this activity a success.

Through health education, blood pressure monitoring, and blood sugar screening, we continue to empower our community to make informed health decisions and adopt healthier lifestyles.

Together, let us continue working towards a healthier, stronger, and more resilient Barangay Takunel.

The Barangay Health Station (BHS) Takunel and the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Takunel would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the South Cotabato Provincial Hospital, the National League of Philippine Nurses (NLPN) Region XII, and the Municipal Health Office (MHO) of Lake Sebu for conducting an Outreach Program in Sitio El-alis, Barangay Takunel for families affected by the recent earthquake.

The team provided medical consultations, family planning services, food packs, clothing, basic necessities, and slippers for children, bringing much-needed support and comfort to our evacuee families.

Thank you for your generosity, compassion, and dedication to serving our community during this challenging time. Your efforts have brought hope and relief to many families as they continue to recover and rebuild.
