Instead of enjoying the long weekend, our dedicated RHU Lal-lo Vaccination Team, led by our very own Dr. Maria Concepcion Abbang, together with our hardworking Barangay Health Volunteers hit the ground running across various barangays today!

We spent this holiday reaching out to children aged 6-59 months to give them their Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization - protecting our little ones, one vaccine at a time.

Service doesnโ€™t take a break, not even on holidays. Proud to serve our community!

TIGNAN | Kampanya para sa Ligtas Tigdas (MRSIA) โ€” Patuloy na Isinasagawa! ๐Ÿ“‹โœ…

Sa layuning mapangalagaan ang kalusugan ng publiko at mapigilan ang pagkalat ng tigdas, patuloy ang ating pagsasagawa ng malawakang kampanya sa ibaโ€™t ibang barangay. ๐Ÿ“‹

Isinasagawa ito sa pakikipagtulungan sa Cagayan Valley Center for Health Development (CVCHD) at Provincial Department of Health (PDOHO). Ang ating mga pangkat ay lumilibot sa mga komunidad upang:

โœ… Magbigay ng tamang impormasyon at edukasyon tungkol sa tigdas
โœ… Maghatid ng proteksyon at serbisyong pangkalusugan
โœ… Tiyakin ang ligtas na pamamaraan ng pagbabakuna
โœ… Siguraduhing walang sinuman ang naiiwan sa serbisyo

Ang ating adbokasiya ay nakatuon sa pagbibigay ng pantay na pagkakataon para sa kalusugan at kaligtasan ng bawat mamamayan. Ang bawat barangay na ating nararating ay patunay ng ating dedikasyon na maglingkod nang tapat at walang pag-iimbot. ๐Ÿ™

TB Screening Initiative Reaches Barangay Malanao ๐Ÿซ

On August 11, 2026, a vital public health initiative unfolded in Barangay Malanao, bringing essential tuberculosis screening services directly to the community. Organized in close coordination with the Department of Health (DOH) Region 2 and the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP), the effort aimed to identify presumptive TB cases early and provide timely care and support.

The screening focused on individuals showing common tuberculosis symptoms as well as those who have had close contact with confirmed TB patients- groups at higher risk and in greatest need of evaluation. Through this collaborative effort, 201 free chest X-ray examinations were conducted to help detect signs of the disease, while 7 GeneXpert tests were administered to provide precise, rapid diagnostic results.

This initiative brought critical health services closer to the people, removing barriers to screening and ensuring that vulnerable community members could access care without cost. By combining resources, expertise, and shared commitment, DOH Region 2 and PBSP helped turn early detection into a powerful tool for health and protection.

The success of this undertaking stands as a testament to what can be achieved through strong public and civic partnership. As we move forward, this effort serves as an important step toward better health outcomes, stronger community awareness, and the shared goal of a TB-free society.

We successfully carried out the second day of the Measles Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MRSIA) across these four barangays!

Our Vice Mayor, Hon. Maria Olivia B. Pascual and team personally visited the vaccination sites to show their full support for this health initiative, check on the activity, and encourage everyone to have their children vaccinated. We were also honored to have our DMO IV, Ms. Remedios Peleo from the Provincial Department of Health, join us for an onsite visit.

Barangay Magapit came together for a safer, healthier future! We are thrilled to announce the resounding success of our Measles-Rubella (MR) Supplemental Immunization Activity!

Our heartfelt thanks to Barangay Captain Romeo Delin for gracing the occasion with his presence and support. We are also honored to have Mr. Florante Paat, Executive Assistant, representing our Municipal Mayor Oliver Pascual โ€” a strong show of support for this vital health mission!

We kicked things off with an informative talk on the MR vaccine: why it matters, how it works, and how it keeps our little ones safe from preventable diseases!

And because health can be fun too! The event got extra lively with our MR SIA Costume Contest among our adorable chikitings! Cute smiles, creative outfits, and endless joy filled the whole venue!

To our hardworking health workers, barangay officials, volunteers, supportive parents, and everyone who pitched in โ€” maraming salamat po! Because of you, we are one step closer to a healthier, safer community for every child!

Protect your health and your loved ones! In coordination with the Department of Health Region 2, PBSP and LGU Lal-lo, we are bringing the TB Caravan right to our community on August 11, 2026.

This initiative aims to detect and stop Tuberculosis early, and we are offering FREE SERVICES for those who qualify:
โœ… TB Screening
โœ… HIV Counseling and Testing
โœ… FREE Chest X-Ray for up to 200 individuals - priority given to those with presumptive TB, showing symptoms, or close contacts of confirmed TB patients

TB is treatable, but early detection saves lives. If you have been experiencing persistent cough, fever, weight loss, or have been around someone with TB, please take this opportunity to get checked -no fees, no hassle.

Celebrating National Breastfeeding Week with love and action!

This week, our Rural Health Unit came together to honor and support breastfeeding mothers and their little ones:

๐ŸŽจ We showcased amazing iTree-D MHO BES- 3D artworks at the RHU lobby โ€“ creative pieces that highlight the beauty and benefits of breastfeeding!

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ We also conducted information lectures and sessions at the Barangay Health Stations, sharing vital knowledge, guidance, and tips for lactating moms and moms-to-be.

๐Ÿคฑ We organized a Milk Letting Activity at the BHS, where kind-hearted moms donated extra breast milk to help babies who cannot be fed directly by their own mothers.

๐Ÿšš Thank u to our supermoms who donated 6,515 milliliters of donated breast milk which was safely transported and turned over to the CVMC Human Milk Bank for proper storage and distribution.

To all breastfeeding moms โ€“ you are superheroes! And to everyone who supported these activities โ€“ especially our partner the Zonta Club of Tuguegarao maraming salamat po! Let us keep working together for healthier Lal-loqueรฑo children.

Maraming salamat sa lahat ng nagbahagi ng kanilang dugo at nakiisa sa ating Blood Letting Activity noong Hulyo 29, 2026.

Ang bawat donasyon ng dugo ay maaaring magligtas ng buhay at magbigay ng pag-asa sa mga nangangailangan. Bukod dito, maaari rin itong magkaroon ng mga benepisyo sa donor, tulad ng makakaroon ng maayos na daloy ng dugo, pagbabawas ng sobrang iron sa katawan, at pagpapababa ng panganib sa ilang sakit sa puso.

Bilang pagkilala sa inyong malasakit at kabayanihan, lahat ng blood donors ay may pagkakataong manalo sa ating Raffle Draw sa Agosto 7, 2026, kung saan maaaring maiuwi ang isang manual walker o isang bicycle.
