Safety will always be one of our top priorities. Our hospital successfully conducted an Earthquake and Fire Drill to strengthen our preparedness in case of emergencies. This activity served as a valuable opportunity for our staff to practice proper response procedures, ensuring that we are ready to protect our patients, colleagues, and community when unexpected situations arise.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the BFP R1 Laoag City FS for their time, effort, and expertise in providing a comprehensive lecture and facilitating the drill. Their guidance allowed us to better understand not only the “what to do” but also the “why it matters” in responding to disasters.

This meaningful activity reminded us that preparedness saves lives, and teamwork makes a big difference in ensuring safety. Together, we continue to build a culture of readiness and resilience within our hospital and our community.

We are incredibly grateful to Dr. Maria Yvez Erika P. Ugale (Adult Infectious Disease Specialist) for the opportunity to learn about adult immunization and the latest guidelines for Community-Acquired Pneumonia (CAP). The insights shared during the session last February 9, 2025 have been incredibly valuable, offering a deeper understanding of the critical role immunization plays in safeguarding the health of our patients, particularly those who are at higher risk. The updated guidelines for CAP are essential in ensuring that we are providing the most current and evidence-based care to our patients.

This knowledge is not only vital for our practice but also empowers everyone to better educate and advocate for vaccination within the community. As healthcare professionals, we have a responsibility to equip our patients with the information they need to make informed decisions about their health.
