Are they truly a Singaporean ?

We were taught about courtesy many years ago, from our great founding father, Lee Kuan Yew.

Bus problem… complain. 🚌
MRT problem… complain. 🚇
Walking also problem… complain. 🚶‍♂️
Coffee shop also can quarrel… ☕😂

Nowadays, everywhere we go also got something to argue about!

Come on lah… give each other a little space, patience and courtesy. We were taught these values many years ago. Courtesy was never meant to disappear just because we have social media and everyone has a camera phone. 😅

Let’s bring back some old-school Singaporean courtesy—respect one another, be gracious, and don’t turn every small inconvenience into a big confrontation.

Life is already stressful enough. Don’t make the bus ride, MRT ride, kopi session and even a simple walk into a battlefield! 😂

A little courtesy costs nothing—but it can make Singapore a much nicer place for everyone. 🇸🇬

LET GOD SHOW YOU WHO THEY ARE — THEN LET IT GO.

Sometimes God reveals people’s true hearts, not to hurt us, but to protect us and teach us.

When He allows you to see who they truly are, don’t seek revenge, don’t carry bitterness, and don’t waste your peace trying to understand them.

Let it go. Leave it in God’s hands.

What truly matters is not what they say about you, but what God sees in your heart.

“The Lord looks at the heart.” — 1 Samuel 16:7

Keep your heart clean. Keep your faith strong. Let God handle the rest.

The Bible says, ‘You do not know what tomorrow will bring’ (James 4:14

Look at Nepal. People came from India, America, Malaysia, Britain, Australia, Canada, Singapore and many other nations—some for holidays, some for adventure, some for pilgrimage. They did not expect their journey to end in tragedy.

Life is fragile. Tomorrow is not promised. And tragedy does not prove that God is absent. It reminds us that we are living in a broken world and that we should seek God while we still have the opportunity.

God has promised: Ask, and it will be given; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened. We may not always receive the answer we expect or in the time we want, but when we sincerely seek Him, He will never leave us without direction.

If we trust in Him and seek Him with all our hearts, He will surely bless us—not always according to our timing or desires, but according to His perfect will and purpose.”

“Blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in Him.” — Jeremiah 17:7

SOMETIMES GOD LEADS US BEFORE WE UNDERSTAND WHY

Sometimes God puts a strong feeling in our hearts to go somewhere or do something, even when we don’t understand the reason.

For me, I had a strong feeling that I should return to Singapore. I could not fully explain why. I simply felt that I needed to go—and I chose to follow that prompting.

When I arrived, unexpected and unexplainable good things began to happen.

Looking back, I realized that perhaps God was leading me there before I even knew what He had prepared for me.

I went without knowing what would happen.

But God already knew.

For we walk by faith, not by sight - 2 Corinthians 5:7

God does not always reveal His plan immediately. Sometimes a rejection is a redirection, a delay is preparation, a closed door is protection, and an unexpected encounter is a divine appointment.

What we see as a coincidence may be part of God’s perfect plan.

So whatever you are facing today, do not lose faith.

God plans are greater than ours. His timing is better than ours. And His faithfulness is greater than our circumstances.

God Speaks to Us in Many Ways

God speaks to us in many ways. Sometimes He speaks through His Word, through prayer, through people, or through circumstances. At other times, He may use something as simple as a sign we see, a conversation we hear, an unexpected encounter, or something happening around us to remind us of His presence and His purpose.

Therefore, we must learn to keep our eyes focused on God and not be so distracted by the things of this world. Pay attention to what surrounds us—the signs, the situations, the people we meet, the things we see and even the things that happen unexpectedly.

Nothing is beyond God’s awareness. Sometimes what we consider a coincidence may be a reminder from God to stop, reflect, listen and seek His direction.

When our hearts are focused on God, we begin to see things differently. We become more sensitive to His guidance, more thankful for His blessings, and more aware that He is working in our lives even when we do not immediately understand what He is doing.

Keep your eyes on God. Keep your heart open. Listen carefully.

For God is always speaking—we only need to be willing to stop, look, listen, and recognize His voice.

Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10

Before judging others, let us examine our own hearts. Before reacting, let us pause. Before making conclusions, let us seek wisdom. Before pointing out someone’s mistakes, let us remember our own.

Sometimes, a small thing makes us angry. We react too quickly, jump to conclusions, and fail to see our own mistakes. But God calls us to respond with wisdom, grace, patience, and humility.

Jesus reminds us:
Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye - Matthew 7:3**

Not every battle is ours to fight.
Not every offense needs a response.
Not every problem needs our control.
And not every burden is ours to carry.

Do not keep carrying what God has asked you to release.

Let go of anger.
Let go of resentment.
Let go of assumptions.
Let go of the need to be right.
Let go of what you cannot control.

When we surrender what we cannot change, we make room for God to work.

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven - Ecclesiastes 3:1

From the very beginning, before there was a calendar, before there was a year, and before any of us had taken our first breath, God was already there.

The Bible tells us:
I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty - Revelation 1:8

God stands beyond our beginning and beyond our ending.

Our ages may be different, our backgrounds may be different, and our journeys through life may be different—but the value God places on every human life does not change with age.

Psalm 139 reminds us that God knew us even before we were born. Our years are not hidden from Him.

TIME BELONGS TO GOD.
You are never too young to be loved by God. You are never too old to be loved by God. You are never too broken to be loved by God. You are never too far away to be reached by God.

WE ARE ALL PRECIOUS IN THE EYES OF OUR CREATOR.

Our years are counted by us. Our life is known by God. Our future is in His hands.
And His love reaches from the beginning to the end.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever - Hebrews 13:8

From Alpha to Omega, our Creator is Lord over all time—and His love is for us all.

The lesson is not that God caused our foolishness. Our choices may bring consequences, but God can use even our mistakes to teach us, humble us, redirect us, and make us wiser.

We don’t blame God for the lesson—we thank God that He did not allow the lesson to be wasted. Thereafter, if we truly learn from our foolishness, we should not remain trapped in regret or blame. We turn back to God, receive His correction, gain wisdom, and walk differently.

So the journey can be:
Foolishness → Consequences → Repentance → Lesson → Wisdom → Transformation → A better path with God.

And remember:
“Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.” — Psalm 37:24

Your mistake does not have to become your destiny. What happened yesterday can become the wisdom that protects your tomorrow.

For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth.” — Proverbs 3:12
