When I was young, like many girls, I dreamed of a knight in shining armour. But funny how life works—when I stopped looking for one, that's when I found him. ❤️
And the beautiful part? He became the one I chose, and the one I continued to choose through the different seasons of life.
Listening to “Training Season” by Dua Lipa makes me reflect on how love isn't just about finding someone. It's about finding someone who is ready to love you with maturity, respect, and understanding. Someone you don't have to constantly teach how to value you.
But here's my personal story: I didn't find him because I had everything figured out. We found each other, and we grew together. Love isn't always a perfect fairytale. It takes patience, communication, forgiveness, and the willingness to keep choosing each other.
And this connects to our mental health, too. ❤️
When we stop desperately searching for validation, we begin to understand our own worth. We learn that being single doesn't mean we're incomplete, and being in a relationship doesn't mean we should lose ourselves.
Maybe my training season wasn't about going through different relationships. Maybe it was about growing into the person who was ready to recognize and nurture the love that found me. đź’•
And after all these years, I still believe that love is not just about finding the right person. It's about protecting your peace, taking care of your mental health, and continuing to choose each other without losing yourself along the way.
đź’ś How about you? Did you find love while searching for it, or did love find you when you least expected it?
