Another marvelous story. 🙏🙏🙏 Pardon for the long post. 😊💗☺️
After an ectopic pregnancy 4 years ago, where she underwent salpingostomy (removal of the products of conception but the fallopian tube was saved) patient had miscarriage a year after😔🙁
From then on, she had difficulty conceiving (secondary infertility) for 3 years complicated by heavy menstrual bleeding. When she came to me, she was seeking help for the infertility and the abnormal bleeding. I told her that it is important to address first the problem with her bleeding. She gladly complied. 🙏❤️😊
Ultrasound revealed thickened endometrium probably polyp hence I did hysteroscopic resection of the polyps. I advised her healthy lifestyle, prescribed her with appropriate vitamins and offered a lot of prayers🙏🙏🙏
After 3 months, BOOM! 🎉🎉🎉 She came in with positive pregnancy test and ultrasound revealed an intrauterine pregnancy, and guess what!? She ovulated from the right o***y, the side where she had the previous ectopic pregnancy!!! The supposed damaged fallopian tube became the bridge for the ***m to reach the egg 🙏❤️🙏
Lessons in this success story…
1. Conservative management (such as salpingostomy) is a good option especially in patients desirous of future fertility. Though if entails higher risk of another ectopic pregnancy, intrauterine pregnancy is still a possibility. 🙏❤️
2. Problems of the uterus (and other parts of the reproductive system) should be addressed first because it can affect fertility. 💪👌
3. Nothing is impossible and everything is possible with God. Just keep the faith! 🙏❤️
4. Proper diet, appropriate exercise, complete sleep and stress management make a positive effect on infertility issues. 😊💪🥗
