The Lugait Municipal Health'Office successfully conducted the Lugait Buntis Congress 2026, bringing together 100 pregnant women from the different barangays of the Municipality of Lugait for a meaningful day dedicated to maternal health, nutrition, education, and wellness.
The activity served as an avenue to provide our expectant mothers with essential health services, relevant information, and encouragement as they journey through pregnancy and prepare for motherhood.
HEALTH SERVICES AND ACTIVITIES
Participants were provided with various health and wellness services, including:

Jarlim Lim Jarales, Municipal Health Officer, welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of continuous support and quality health services for pregnant women.

We sincerely appreciate Hon. Wellie G. Lim-Municipal Mayor, and Hon. Sharon Agosto-SB Kagawad on Health, for their inspiring messages and continued commitment to programs that promote maternal and child health in Lugait.

We were honored to have Ma'am Ana Virtudazo-Provincial MNCHN Coordinator of the Provincial Health Office of Misamis Oriental, who shared her valuable knowledge and insights with our expectant mothers.
๐คฑ Breastfeeding Awareness
Ms. Junhazel Pepito-Nutritionist HRH, provided an informative session on breastfeeding and the importance of proper nutrition for both mother and child.
๐ **Immunization After Birth Lecture**
**Dr. Rey Rodriguez** discussed the importance of timely immunization after birth and its role in protecting newborns from vaccine-preventable diseases.
๐ Message of Gratitude
A message of appreciation was delivered by Ma'am Merlyn B. Silador, RM-MNCHN & National Safe Motherhood Program Coordinator, recognizing the collective efforts of the health team, partners, guests, sponsors, and individuals who contributed to the success of the activity.
๐ GIVING OF BUNTIS AND NUTRITION KITS
As part of the celebration, Buntis Kits and Nutrition Kits were distributed to the participating mothers through the support of the Lugait Municipal Nutrition Action Office (MNAO), providing practical assistance for their pregnancy and maternal journey.
๐ RAFFLE DRAW
The event concluded with an exciting raffle activity, adding joy and excitement to an already meaningful celebration.
