Rabies is a serious viral infection that can be life-threatening once symptoms appear. It is most commonly spread through the bite or scratch of an infected animal.

🔹 Common signs: Fever, headache, unusual anxiety, difficulty swallowing, confusion, excessive saliva, and fear of water.

👌Mas mabuting magpatingin at magpabakuna agad kaysa maghintay👌

Kapag may possibility na nakagat, nakalmot, o nadilaan ang sugat ng aso o pusa, HUWAG BALEWALAIN! Magpatingin agad!

Mas mabuting mabakunahan kahit hindi sigurado kung kagat ba ng aso o pusa ang sugat.

Dahil ang rabies ay isang seryosong sakit na hindi agad nakikitaan ng sintomas. Ang sintomas ng rabies ay pwedeng magpakita ito 5, 10, 20 years simula ng makagat, depende sa location at lalim ng kagat.

At sa oras na magkaron na ng sintomas, 100% DEADLY ito.

PERO 100% maiiwasan din ito ng bakuna!

👉🏻So safe ba ang magpabakuna kahit hindi naman talaga nakagat ng aso o pusa?

Yes! Ang modern anti-rabies vaccines ay ligtas dahil sa maraming taon ng research.

Karamihan sa mga side effects ay mild lang, tulad ng pananakit sa injection site, pamumula, o mababang lagnat na kusang nawawala.

An 11-year-old boy from Ontario, Canada, di*d from rabies after waking up to find a bat on his face while sleeping during a family trip, according to a recently published medical case report.

Doctors said no visible bite or scratch marks were found at the time, and the family did not seek medical treatment. Nineteen days later, the boy developed symptoms and was eventually diagnosed with rabies, a disease that is almost always fatal once symptoms appear. The case has prompted renewed warnings from health experts that any direct contact with a bat should be treated as a potential rabies exposure, even in the absence of visible injuries.
