Morning Prayer-MATHEW 10:16
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

INSPIRATION/, MEDITATION:
Sheep are vulnerable in the presence of a wolf, just as we are vulnerable in the presence of sin. God has made sure we are not defenseless! He sent Jesus to be the salvation of our sins; He is the way, the truth, and the light! The Holy Spirit guides our hearts to scripture and arms us with wisdom to protect our spirits against evil.

PRAYER:🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
Dear God, we are not helpless! You arm us with the Word, and Your Spirit directs us away from sin and straight into Your arms. In Jesus's Name, Amen.

Night Prayer- MALACHI
Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?

INSPIRATION/MEDITATION:
There are times we need to humble ourselves before His throne rather than to turn away from Him. In the Old Testament, the people struggle with understanding why God has turned away from them. When the Lord explains that they have not obeyed His laws, but still He is gracious to return to them when they return to Him, the people foolishly ask where they need to return. Their lack of understanding their need for repentance explains why this separation is pronounced. Do not be like them. Repent and return to the Lord and He will return to you.

PRAYER:🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
Dear God, You are a jealous god. When I seem to be directing my focus away from You and unto other idols, please lead me back to You. Help me to understand my need for forgiveness and a savior. Do not allow me to stray, Father. Forgive me for the times I did not obey Your laws and for the times my sins separated me from You. I repent and ask that You renew my spirit and my mind. Extend Your mercy, O Lord. In Jesus' name, amen.

Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

INSPIRATION/MEDITATION:
Sometimes, just being in this world can be depressing. In a world full of war, disease, and evil, it is easy to despair. Yet God invites us to see beyond the brokenness of this world and to look ahead to the promise of eternity. A new heaven and new earth, a dwelling place of righteousness, awaits all who believe. Let us cling to the hope of this promise.

PRAYER:
Lord, the burdens of life and the trials of this world break our hearts. We are saddened when we see evil running amok and people suffering. Thank You, Lord, for preparing a better place for us, for promising a new dwelling. Teach me to live in this hope, that it may be a beacon and light to others in this fallen world. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bo***ge. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. (From Exodus 20:2-3)

INSPIRATION/MEDITATION:
It is easy to judge the Israelites for their idol worship and their poor decisions, but we often act the same way. God brought the Israelites out of slavery and bo***ge, yet they complained because they did not get the food they wanted. Has there been a time when you complained because you did not get what you wanted? Before you think you would not act like the Israelites, consider what you worship. We should have no other gods in our life. It does not have to be a god-like monument – anything that takes our attention from our savior can be an idol.

PRAYER:
Dear God, forgive me for the times I have failed to see all the ways You have rescued me. Forgive my grumbling when things did not go my way. When I begin to have a negative attitude, may I be reminded of the Israelites and their journey out of Egypt, when they turned their back from You. Allow me to learn from their story. When I exalt anyone or anything above You, make it known to me so that I should repent and turn away from this false worship. Thank You for Your mercy and Your grace. In Jesus' name, amen. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
