Last Thursday, July 16, 2026, the College of Veterinary Medicine Junior and Senior Clinicians gathered for their first seminar for this academic year. Centered on the timely and insightful topic, "𝙁𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙋𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚: 𝙃𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙁𝙪𝙧 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙁𝙪𝙧 𝘽𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙚𝙨."

The seminar featured inspiring talks from Dr. Precy Magtoto, Dr. Karen Chel Santos, Dr. Maylen Pineda, Dr. Fredrick Tan, and Dr. Jorvy Tayag, who generously shared their knowledge, experiences, and practical advice to help prepare our clinicians for the realities of veterinary practice.

As our future veterinarians continue to grow in both knowledge and compassion, opportunities like this serve as valuable stepping stones toward becoming competent and dedicated professionals.

Join us on July 16, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at the Pampanga State Agricultural University – College of Veterinary Medicine for Foundations in Clinical Practice: Handling Challenging Fur Parents and Fur Babies.

It will be a day of learning, compassion, and practical strategies for every veterinarian, every fur parent, and every fur baby. We look forward to welcoming veterinary students for a day of learning, collaboration, and professional growth.

🐾 Mission Pawsible: Accomplished! 🐾

On July 2, 2026, the Villa Paulina Covered Court in Purok Pau, Calulut, City of San Fernando, Pampanga became a hub for pet health and welfare. Spearheaded by the CVM Faculty Extensionists and dedicated trainees from the Veterinary Clinicians' Club (VCC), the event successfully provided registered pet owners with free spay and neuter services, anti-rabies vaccinations, deworming, vitamins, general checkups, and an educational seminar on responsible pet ownership.

This impactful initiative was made possible through the generous support of our sponsors: Farmline Agriventures, Inc., Calulut Senior Citizens, and Calulut Batch 1980. Thank you to the wonderful community of Calulut for actively participating! Your support is a major step toward a rabies-free, healthy, and safe community for both humans and our beloved pets. 🐶🐱✨

🐾 Mission Pawssible: Kontroladong Populasyon, Dagdag Aksyon! 🐶🐱

Last June 29, 2026, the PSAU–College of Veterinary Medicine, through the collaborative efforts of its CVM Faculty Extensionists and the Veterinary Clinicians' Club, successfully conducted Mission Pawssible: Kontroladong Populasyon, Dagdag Aksyon!

The community extension program promoted responsible pet ownership and rabies prevention by providing free spay and neuter services, deworming, and veterinary check-ups for companion animals.

The event also welcomed the incoming freshmen of the College of Veterinary Medicine (AY 2026–2027) through an orientation on the College's policies and an educational session on rabies awareness and responsible pet ownership. We hope this knowledge inspires them to become future advocates in the fight against rabies.
Our heartfelt thanks to all the pet owners, students, faculty, volunteers, and partners who made this initiative a success. Together, we continue to build healthier communities, promote animal welfare, and work toward a rabies-free future. 💙🐾

One Step Closer to a Rabies-Free Community 🐾

The Faculty of the College of Veterinary Medicine, together with the Veterinary Clinicians’ Club, successfully launched a community outreach program on May 18, 2026, in Barangay San Miguel, Magalang.

Huge thanks to the Municipal Agriculture Office of Magalang, Pampanga for providing the anti-rabies vaccines. This initiative will not be possible without your support.

Through this initiative, many animals received essential veterinary healthcare services — a reflection of how compassion, service, and collaboration can create healthier and safer communities. This activity marks the beginning of our journey toward a rabies-free municipality, and soon, a rabies-free Philippines.

The Veterinary Clinicians’ Club extends its sincere gratitude to the Local Barangay Officials and the residents of San Miguel for warmly welcoming us and becoming partners in our mission to end rabies transmission and promote responsible pet ownership.
Thank you for allowing us to serve. Together, we are building a safer, healthier, and rabies-free community for both animals and people. 💙🐾

And it’s a wrap! 🐾✨

Our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Kathleen Kay Romero-Malig, owner of Paw Prints Veterinary Clinics, for sharing her invaluable knowledge and real-life experiences during our successful sem-ender lecture seminar entitled, “Real-life Scenarios of Veterinary Practice: Part 2”, held on May 14, 2026 at the Pampanga Agricultural University – College of Veterinary Medicine AVR.

This meaningful session served as a continuation of learning from inspiring veterinary entrepreneurs, giving us deeper insight into the realities behind running a veterinary clinic — from clinical practice, decision-making, and client relations to the challenges and practicalities of veterinary business in the field.

Your wisdom, honesty, and passion truly inspired future veterinarians to grow not only as clinicians but also as leaders and entrepreneurs in the profession.
