🀱✨ Empowering Mothers, Nurturing Futures! βœ¨πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§

In celebration of Breastfeeding and Family Planning Month, a Behavior Change Communication (BCC) Campaign was successfully conducted last August 20, 2026 at the serene Qoube Eco Park in San Miguel, Mahinog, Camiguin! πŸŒΏπŸ’š

The activity brought together 30 dedicated breastfeeding and lactating mothers and Barangay Nutrition Scholars from the 13 barangays of Mahinog for an interactive session focused on adopting healthier practices for both mother and child. We were honored to have expert speakers from the Provincial Health Office thru Ms. Aida C. Rabot, RHM III and the Provincial Department of Health (PDOHO) - Camiguin Office thru Ms. Aprille Danilyn Valmorida, RND, who shared vital insights on proper breastfeeding techniques, nutritional support, and informed family planning choices. πŸ©ΊπŸ“‹

Through this BCC initiative, we aim to transform awareness into positive habits that foster long-term community wellness. A huge thank you to all the participating mothers, resource speakers, and organizers for championing maternal and child health in our municipality! πŸŒΈπŸ‘Ά

Youth Care Program: Empowering the Next Generation

On August 7 and 11, 2026, the Governor XJ Romualdo Youth Care Program conducted educational lectures for Grade 7 learners of Mahinog National High School and Sixto A. Abao National High School, in partnership with the Municipal Health Office.

The activity focused on critical issues affecting the health, safety, protection, and overall well-being of young people, including teenage pregnancy, HIV/AIDS, child marriage, and cyberbullying.

Through these informative sessions, the learners were provided with age-appropriate knowledge and practical guidance to help them better understand the challenges they may encounter during adolescence. The discussions also emphasized the importance of responsible decision-making, self-protection, respect for others, and seeking appropriate support when faced with difficult situations.

The expertise and commitment of our speakers to youth health education contributed significantly to the success of the activity and provided the learners with reliable information on matters that are essential to their development and well-being.

The Governor XJ Romualdo Youth Care Program recognizes that protecting and empowering young people requires sustained education, collaboration, and community support. By equipping the youth with accurate information and appropriate guidance, we help them develop the confidence and capacity to make informed and responsible choices.

Investing in our youth means investing in the future of our community. Let us continue to educate, protect, and empower them toward a healthier, safer, and brighter future.
