For the second time, the University of Makati has been recognized as one of the finalists in the Times Higher Education (THE) Awards Asia 2026, this year under the Outstanding Support for Students category.

From more than 500 entries, UMak is among the eight HEIs across Asia shortlisted - an astounding feat for a local university. This continuous recognition underscores the institution’s collective commitment to providing quality education and expanding its global presence in the higher education landscape.

"Building Champions Beyond Competition - DUES + CBS: Bridging Learning and Life" was the only entry from the Philippines in the category, included with seven other entries from well-known universities in Thailand, India, Japan, Pakistan, and China.
