Grateful to have completed the IFAAS Facial Fat Grafting Training in Seoul, South Korea.
It was a valuable opportunity to further refine my knowledge and surgical techniques in facial fat grafting and regenerative aesthetics, learning directly from experts and gaining insights that I can bring back to my practice in the Philippines. 🇵🇭

Know the Warning Signs of Head and Neck Cancer

Don't ignore symptoms that last longer than two weeks:
🔹 A persistent mouth ulcer
🔹 A lump in the neck
🔹 Hoarseness or voice changes
🔹 Difficulty swallowing
🔹 Persistent sore throat
🔹 Red or white patches inside the mouth

Risk factors include to***co use, excessive alcohol consumption, HPV infection, and prolonged sun exposure (for lip cancer).

Early detection leads to better treatment outcomes. If symptoms persist, consult an ENT–Head and Neck Specialist promptly.

How many cups of coffee are safe to drink in a day? For some people, up to 5, according to a new scientific statement on caffeine and cardiovascular disease.

Next time you’re wondering if another cup is a good idea, keep these things in mind:

☕There’s no “right” amount of coffee. We all tolerate caffeine differently. Listen to your body about how much you should consume.
☕ Very high amounts of caffeine, such as levels found in energy drinks, may increase risks to the heart. ☕Consuming no more than 400 mg of caffeine per day is not linked to a higher risk of heart disease and stroke.
☕ Drinking regular black coffee without added sugar, cream or flavors may lower risks of Type 2 diabetes, heart disease, stroke, heart failure and some irregular heart rhythms.
☕ Unfiltered coffees including espresso, French press, Turkish coffee and boiled coffee contain cafestol, a compound associated with higher levels of LDL ("bad") cholesterol. Cafestol is not present in paper-filtered or instant coffee.

This 69-year-old patient underwent silicone rhinoplasty in 1985. She remained relatively stable for decades—until 5 years ago, when she was accidentally kicked on the nose by her grandson.
This seemingly minor trauma triggered progressive swelling and deformity, eventually diagnosed as a siliconoma.
🔍 What we did:
• Careful removal of the siliconoma
• Open structural rhinoplasty
• Reconstruction using dermofat graft for improved contour and support
⏳ Result: 6 months post-op A softer, more natural nasal contour with improved symmetry—and most importantly, restored confidence.
💡 Key takeaway: Even long-standing silicone implants can remain quiet for years, but trauma may trigger late complications.
The good news? With meticulous planning, revision rhinoplasty can still deliver excellent outcomes—even decades later.
