🍵Let's talk TEA! 🍵

The discovery of tea started from a legend back in 2737 BC when Emperor Shen Nong was boiling a pot of water while he and his entourage were resting from a long journey. Little did he know that leaves from nearby bushes fell onto the boiling pot, and the aroma of the boiled leaves permeated the air. This made the emperor curious of the aroma, and when he tasted the infused water, it delighted his tastebuds. Upon consumption, he declared that this liquid had invigorated his body, thus the discovery of tea for medicinal means.

2025 has been a year of transitions and stepping outside my comfort zone. I look back with no regrets, only gratitude for everyone who has been part of this journey! Wishing everyone a happy and amazing 2026, filled with many good stories and cups of tea to share! As I always say, padayon lang! ☺️

If you’re wondering about the teapot and tea tray from my previous post, they hold a very special place in my heart. They once belonged to my late Ahma and were lovingly passed down to me by my mom 🍵

Every time I use them, I’m reminded of the warmth of home, the traditions we keep alive, and the love that flows through generations in something as simple as sharing tea 💖

After some minor delays, it’s finally happening—I’m heading to Kyoto at the end of the month for an internship, taking a bold step toward my passion for tea at nearly 40!

The past few months have been a whirlwind of emotions—joy, excitement, and deep reflection. For two wonderful decades, I’ve been in the corporate Learning & Development field, a career built on stability and calculated risks. Only a few in my close circle know how risk-averse I truly am—I’ve always chosen the path of assured opportunities. But this? This defies all of that.

I’m about to venture into uncharted territory, and I won’t lie—it’s daunting. But passion is my fuel, and it’s leading me forward. I don’t know what awaits beyond this, but one thing is certain: more teas—verbal and herbal! LOL! 😊

I also want to take this moment to thank my ever-supportive fiancé, who has stood by my side through the hardest times, as well as my loving parents and siblings , Sha, for their unwavering support. To my dear friend, colleague, and confidante, —thank you for always lending an ear and for your constant support! And to the whole communiTEA, thank you for being part of this journey!
