What if your child isn’t “just being difficult”—but is actually having a hard time? 🧠

Big reactions. Hirap sumunod. Easily frustrated or overwhelmed.

Instead of only asking “How do I stop this behavior?”, let’s learn to ask:

“WHY is this happening—and what does my child need from me?”

Join Teacher Shan, Occupational Therapist, as we unpack the WHY behind behavior and learn practical ways to better support your child. 💛

Every child deserves a way to communicate.

AAC provides children with a way to express their wants, needs, feelings, thoughts, and ideas. 🌱

AAC does not prevent speech—it gives children a way to communicate while supporting their overall communication development.

We’re excited to share that AAC services are coming soon to BOOST Therapy Center! 💙

A proud BOOST moment! 🚀

We’re incredibly proud of one of our founders, Teacher Mariel of Project Playtime for being featured on TV to share her expertise and advocate for early communication and play-based learning.

During the interview, she talked about:
💬 Possible causes of speech and language delay
🌱 How communication delays can affect a child’s overall development
❤️ Advice for parents who may be going through the same journey

At BOOST Therapy Center, we believe that empowering families with the right knowledge is the first step toward helping every child reach their full potential.

If you know a parent, teacher, or caregiver who could benefit from FREE expert talking tips and play ideas, send this their way and follow: Project Playtime

You cook one meal for the family... and another just for your child.

They only eat the same few foods.

They refuse anything new.

And every mealtime feels exhausting.😫

If this sounds like your family, you're not alone. 💙

Many children who are called "picky eaters" may actually be experiencing feeding difficulties. It's not always about being stubborn or refusing to eat. Some children find certain food textures, smells, tastes, or even the appearance of food overwhelming. Others may have difficulty chewing or coordinating the movements needed for eating.

That's why advice like, "Kakain din 'yan kapag gutom na," isn't always the answer.

The good news? There are evidence-based ways to help. 📚

At Boost Therapy Center, our Speech-Language Pathologists & Occupational Therapists are trained in the SOS (Sequential Oral Sensory) Approach to Feeding—a child-led, play-based approach that helps children feel safe around food and gradually build the confidence to explore new foods without pressure or force.

Because feeding therapy isn't about making children eat.

It's about helping them develop a healthier relationship with food—one small step at a time.

💙 Wondering if your child's eating habits are more than "just picky eating"?

💬 Comment "EAT" We'd be happy to answer your questions and help you determine whether feeding therapy may be right for your child.

More expertise. More support for families. Another BOOST for our feeding therapy team. 🚀

We’re proud to celebrate our very own Speech-Language Pathologists (T. Tami & T. Mia) and Occupational Therapist (T. Cath)—for completing specialized training in the SOS (Sequential Oral Sensory) Approach to Feeding. 🎉

This internationally recognized, evidence-based approach helps children with feeding challenges become more comfortable and confident around food—one step at a time.

Congratulations to our therapists on this milestone and their continued commitment to helping more children and families. 💙

👀 In our next post, we’ll share the signs of feeding difficulties, when it’s more than “just picky eating,” and how the SOS Approach can help. Stay tuned!

💭 Are these tantrums normal, or is it something more?

🍽️ Why is mealtime such a battle everyday?

🗣️ How can I make echolalia meaningful speech? Will AAC discourage my child from talking?

If you’ve asked chatgpt these questions at 1am — mama, this is for you. 👇

3 Saturdays. 3 experts. Real answers — not just Google/AI searches and guesswork.

🌥️ DAY 1 (Oct 3: OT)
“Now, It Makes Sense”: Understanding Your Child’s Behavior and Providing Support

🌥️ DAY 2 (Oct 10: SLPs)
“AAC Made Simple” + “More Than Just Repetition”

→ What echolalia really means, how to turn those repeated phrases into real communication, and why AAC actually helps kids talk more — not less.

The full panel. All 3 specialists, ONE room — answering YOUR specific questions about YOUR child.

→ This is the session moms wait for. Bring your questions, leave with a plan.

*Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT) is a hands-on, tactile-kinesthetic approach where SLPs use touch cues on the child’s jaw, lips and tongue to guide them in producing speech sounds and improve overall speech intelligibility. 💭

Your dedication to learning and growth continues to inspire us. We’re so proud of you! ❤️💚🚀
