RHU MALABANG, under the supervision of Dr. Ayah S. Mohamad and Dr. Labib S. Cabili, successfully conducted Sight-Saving Month with the theme:
β€œSee Clearly, Live Fully: Promoting Early Screening and Better Eye Health.” The activity also commemorated National Disability Rights Week, with the theme:

β€œRights First, Legislation Forward: Strategic Action for Equal Participation and Inclusive Development.”
Through these initiatives, RHU Malabang continues to promote early screening, better eye health, disability rights, equal participation, and inclusive healthcare services for the community.

Dahil sa patuloy na pagbaha dulot ng masamang panahon, hinihikayat ang lahat na mag-ingat at iwasan ang paglusong sa baha hangga't maaari. Ang tubig-baha ay maaaring kontaminado ng ihi ng mga hayop tulad ng daga at maaaring magdulot ng leptospirosis at iba pang sakit.

Kung hindi maiiwasang lumusong sa baha:
βœ… Magsuot ng bota o anumang proteksiyon sa paa.
βœ… Takpan ang anumang sugat bago lumusong.
βœ… Maligo at maghugas agad ng katawan gamit ang malinis na tubig at sabon pagkatapos ma-expose sa baha.

πŸ’Š Ang Doxycycline ay maaaring irekomenda bilang pang-iwas sa leptospirosis para sa mga taong may mataas na panganib ng exposure sa baha, ngunit dapat lamang itong inumin ayon sa payo ng doktor o healthcare worker. Hindi ito angkop para sa lahat.

Kung makaranas ng lagnat, pananakit ng ulo, pananakit ng kalamnan, pamumula ng mata, o iba pang sintomas matapos lumusong sa baha, agad na magpakonsulta sa RHU Malabang o sa pinakamalapit na health facility.

Dahil sa nakaaalarmang pagtaas ng mga kaso ng pagtatae (Diarrhea), pinapaalalahanan ang lahat na maging maingat at ugaliing uminom lamang ng malinis at ligtas na tubig.

Narito ang ilang paraan upang makaiwas sa sakit:
πŸ’§ Uminom lamang ng ligtas na inuming tubig.
πŸ’§ Pakuluan ang tubig nang hindi bababa sa 1 minuto kung hindi tiyak na ito ay ligtas.
πŸ’§ Gumamit ng malinis at may takip na lalagyan ng tubig.
🧼 Maghugas ng kamay gamit ang sabon bago kumain, bago maghanda ng pagkain, at pagkatapos gumamit ng palikuran.
πŸ₯— Panatilihing malinis at laging lutong mabuti ang pagkain.

Ang pagtatae ay maaaring magdulot ng matinding dehydration, lalo na sa mga sanggol, bata, matatanda, at iba pang madaling kapitan ng sakit.

Kung ikaw o ang iyong kapamilya ay nakararanas ng madalas na pagtatae, pagsusuka, o mga palatandaan ng dehydration, agad na magpakonsulta sa Doctor or sa pinakamalapit na Rural Health Unit/health center.

This recognition of 3rd Place in the LGU Health Scorecard is a shared achievement that reflects the power of collaboration, strong leadership, and a common vision of providing accessible, quality, and compassionate healthcare to every e-Malabang'n.

The Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Malabang, headed by Dr. Ayah S. Mohamad, successfully conducted a Dengue Awareness Program on June 23, 2026, at Barangay Matampay, Malabang, Lanao del Sur. The activity aimed to educate community members about dengue fever, its causes, signs and symptoms, modes of transmission, preventive measures, and the importance of early detection and timely medical consultation.

During the awareness session, the RHU staff provided comprehensive health education on maintaining a clean and healthy environment by eliminating stagnant water where mosquitoes breed. Participants were also encouraged to practice the "4S" strategy against dengue: Search and destroy mosquito breeding sites, Self-protection measures, Seek early consultation for fever, and Support community fogging or spraying only during outbreaks when necessary. Interactive discussions allowed residents to ask questions and gain a better understanding of how they can actively contribute to dengue prevention within their households and the community.

The program was well attended by barangay officials, community members, and local health workers, who actively participated throughout the activity. The successful conduct of the Dengue Awareness Program reflects the continued commitment of the RHU Malabang, under the leadership of Dr. Ayah S. Mohamad, to promote public health, strengthen disease prevention efforts, and empower communities through health education. Such initiatives play a vital role in reducing the risk of dengue infection and fostering a healthier and more informed community in Barangay Matampay, Malabang, Lanao del Sur.

Today, June 23, 2026, RHU Malabang, under the supervision of Dr. Ayah S. Mohamad, successfully conducted a Puro Kalusugan and Dengue Awareness Program in Barangay Matampay, Malabang, Lanao del Sur. The activity was aimed at promoting health awareness, strengthening disease prevention efforts, and educating community members on the importance of proper sanitation and environmental cleanliness in preventing dengue and other health-related concerns.
