My daughter is diagnose with atopic dermatitis (Eczema) itchy, cracked, rough, very dry skin its not contagious but really affect childs well being. On her fifth months, we notice that she has a dry skin and allergy to the face that never go away. Because its in the genes, family of asthma in her father side her doctor recommend hypoallergenic milk, antihistamine medicine, creams and ointment,baby soap and lotion.
Its so frustrating when you see your child never stop scratching sometimes until she bleeds. Even at night often she ask me to scratch her until she fall to sleep. If you see her you will never guess she suffer so much at her very young age. For the past 11 years, routine antihistamine medicine,creams and ointment. she tried maybe 10 different kinds of baby lotion and soap. Im using also hypoallergenic detergent soap and fabric conditioner. Everything that can trigger her allergies i have minimize or discontinued. Until she was compatible to cethaphil soap and lotion but even im using it for almost most of her life there is still occasional flare up and still dry skin.
