More than 2 Hours of Screens = 3 Big Changes in Your Child’s Brain 📱➡️🧠

The “2-Hour Rule” isn’t to make you guilty. It’s to protect 3 things:

1. SLEEP 😴➡️😫
Screen light tricks the brain into thinking it’s daytime.
Result: Puyat, late matulog, antok sa school

Red Flag: “Ma, 1 more episode!” then gising pa 11PM. Then tantrums sa umaga kasi kulang tulog

Pedia Fix: No screens 1 hour before bed. Palitan ng book, kwentuhan, or “bedtime stretching.” Dim lights after 7PM.

2. ATTENTION 🎯➡️🦗

Fast-paced shows/games = brain gets used to instant rewards
Real life = boring. Result: Can’t sit through homework, “makulit” sa class

Red Flag: “Ayaw mag-color, gusto tablet lang.” “Hindi matapos homework kasi tayo ng tayo.”

Pedia Fix: Slow down content. Choose 20-min Mr. Rogers style vs 2-min fast cuts.
Use “Tech breaks”: 20 mins screen, 40 mins laro/takbo. Movement rebuilds attention.

3. AGGRESSION 😊➡️😡
Violent content + sleep loss + frustration = shorter fuse

Red Flag: Biglang nananakit ng kapatid after Roblox.
“Ma, galit ako!” without clear reason after iPad time

Pedia Fix: Co-view + Filter. No violent games/shows
