Knowledge is one of our strongest weapons against dengue. Today, our OPD patients participated in a Dengue Awareness Lecture conducted by Dr. Marc Christian Sausa, highlighting the importance of the DOH Dengue 5S Strategy:

βœ… Search and Destroy mosquito breeding sites
βœ… Self-protection measures
βœ… Seek early consultation
βœ… Support fogging in hotspot areas
βœ… Sustain hydration

Dengue prevention starts at home and succeeds through community participation. Let us work together to keep our families and communities safe.

"Kung walang lamok, walang dengue. Kung sama-sama ang komunidad, dengue ay mapipigilan."

Today, we celebrate the heart of primary care. ❀️

Family physicians walk with patients and families through every season of life from childhood to older age, from prevention to healing, from moments of joy to life’s most difficult conversations.

In a rapidly changing digital world, technology may improve access and support better decisions, but compassionate human connection remains at the center of healing.

As we celebrate World Family Doctor Day, we honor all family physicians who continue to serve with empathy, dedication, competence, and unwavering commitment to communities everywhere.

Thank you for being healers, advocates, listeners, teachers, and partners in health.

Happy World Family Doctor Day! πŸŒπŸ‘¨β€βš•οΈπŸ‘©β€βš•οΈπŸ’š

From stethoscopes to garbage bags, Family Physicians continue to serve beyond the four walls of the clinic. 🌱🩺

Last May 9, 2026, in celebration of World Family Doctor Day, the Department of Family and Community Medicine of Bethel Baptist Hospital, in collaboration with the Philippine Academy of Family Physicians Bukidnon Chapter, came together for β€œStethoscopes to Garbage Bags: A Clean Up Drive” at the Kaamulan Grounds.

Because environmental health is family health. Clean surroundings reduce disease, protect communities, and reflect our shared responsibility as primary care advocates.

That day reminded us that healing is not only done through prescriptions and consultations. Sometimes, it also begins with picking up waste, caring for public spaces, and working together as one community.

Thank you to everyone who joined and served with willing hands and compassionate hearts. πŸ’š

Primary care begins with seeing beyond symptoms and understanding the story behind every patient. Last May 8, 2026, our Family and Community Medicine Department, in collaboration with the Radiology Section, dives deeper into the brain not only through anatomy and imaging, but through the realities of care encountered every day in the community.

Because in Family Medicine, learning the science is important, but connecting it to real people and real lives is what truly matters.” πŸ§ πŸ“šβœ¨

Happy Mother’s Day to our amazing Mom-tors. The superwomen who can diagnose, mentor, comfort, teach, and still remind us to eat on time. πŸ’πŸ©Ί

Part mom, part mentor, full-time lifesavers.
Thank you for nurturing not just your families, but also the next generation of Family and Community Medicine doctors. πŸ’–

To our favorite β€œmothers on duty,” today’s rounds are all about celebrating YOU! 🌸

Only 3 days to go 🧠✨

In line with the celebration of World Family Day, the Department of Family and Community Medicine, in collaboration with the Radiology Section, will conduct a learning forum entitled β€œBrain CT Anatomy and Associated Common Pathologies in Primary Care.”

The activity will aim to enhance the competency of Family Medicine residents and primary care physicians in interpreting basic brain CT findings relevant to common clinical presentations encountered in primary care settings. It will emphasize the role of the family physician in early recognition, timely referral, and continuity of care for patients with neurologic conditions that significantly impact family functioning and well-being.

Through this activity, participants will be equipped with essential knowledge and skills to integrate diagnostic imaging into patient-centered, family-focused, and community-oriented care. Ultimately, the forum will strengthen the capacity of primary care providers to deliver comprehensive, responsive, and family-centered health services to Filipino families.

INVITING ALL PHYSICIANS.

Join us this May 8, 4PM at BBHI Nelson Wing and learn from the best. Don’t miss it!

See you there πŸ‘©β€βš•οΈπŸ‘¨β€βš•οΈ
