Facilitated by our proactive OIC-MHO, Jenie Lahora, the team gathered to evaluate our progress, streamline health protocols, and map out strategic steps for the community's welfare.

PhilPEN Protocol Updates: Expert insights shared by Dr. Juvette Ann to enhance our risk assessment strategies for non-communicable diseases.

National Tuberculosis Program (NTP) Updates: Vital compliance and medical advancements presented by Dr. Sharmin C. Maynocao.

🚨 SHAKING UP OUR PREPAREDNESS! 🚨

The Municipal Health Office (MHO) of Manay successfully conducted its Annual Earthquake Drill today! This proactive initiative focuses on building true disaster resilience among our frontline healthcare workers, ensuring they are mentally and physically equipped to handle crisis situations.

This year's exercise presented a highly realistic challenge, kicking off right after the Holy Mass with more than 30 patients and visitors present on-site.

A huge thank you to the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO Manay) for providing invaluable technical assistance and expert guidance during this crowded scenario!

🤝 Collaborative Governance for a Healthier Manay: 5th Local Health Board Meeting Concludes Successfully

The Municipal Health Board of Manay successfully convened for its 5th Local Health Board Meeting yesterday, May 25, 2026, at the MHO Conference Room.

The productive session was presided over by Municipal Councilor Jan Mae Dayanghirang-Llavore, RN, Committee Chair on Health on behalf of our Municipal Mayor Jon Marco Dayanghirang, ensuring a strong, health-centered leadership presence.

The agenda centered on advancing the municipality's health service delivery. OIC-MHO Jenie B Lahora clearly and thoroughly presented the LGU Health Performance Metrics, laying out critical updates, existing gaps, and salient strategic points required to achieve our healthcare targets. Working hand-in-hand with the team, HEPO Manager Jo Tengson also shared key insights on health promotion strategies needed to drive these metrics forward.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and actively participated in this meeting! We deeply appreciate the presence of our DOM Roger Palec, Barangay Chairmen on Health, and all dedicated stakeholders. Your collaborative input ensures that our health programs are responsive to the real needs of our communities.

MHO Manay Conducts ACSM Orientation

The Municipal Health Office (MHO) of Manay recently conducted a specialized orientation on Advocacy, Communication, and Social Mobilization (ACSM) focused on the prevention and control of Food and Waterborne Diseases (FWBD) and Foodborne Trematodes (FBT).

Food and waterborne illnesses, along with foodborne trematodes (parasitic worm infections), remain critical public health concerns that thrive on poor sanitation, contaminated water sources, and unsafe food handling. To eliminate these preventable diseases, medical treatment alone is not enough. Health care workers must be equipped with strong ACSM skills to effectively educate families, mobilize communities for better sanitation, and advocate for clean water infrastructure. By empowering our frontline health workers, we ensure that accurate health information reaches every household, effectively breaking the chain of infection at the grassroots level.

Our Municipal Mayor Jon Marco Dayanghirang and OIC Manay Municipal Health Office witnessed a massive milestone for provincial health at the grand launching of DOPMC HEALS and the presentation of PHO's newest programs and development partners.

This high-impact event was attended by Gov. Nelson Dayanghirang, VG Glenda Rabat Gayta , regional DOH leaders, and WHO Country Director Dr. Eonyung Ko.✨

The TAMIS Program beneficiaries (Type 1 DM warriors) and their guardians were among of the attendees. Our very own Municipal Councilor Jan Mae Dayanghirang-Llavore, touched hearts as she gave an emotional, inspiring testimony. Drawing from her personal life as a nurse and a mother, she shared powerful encouragement with fellow parents on how to navigate and manage raising a child with Type 1 Diabetes.🤝

The Officer-in-Charge of the Municipal Health Office (MHO) together with our DTTB actively participated in the joint Annual Investment Plan (AIP) 2026 Program Review Evaluation and AIP 2027 Planning Formulation Workshop held on May 19, 2026 at the Manay Municipal Health Office Conference Room.

The high-level convergence was led by Municipal Mayor Jon Marco Dayanghirang, VM Alfonso Benjie Lahora Jr., and Municipal Councilor Jan Mae Dayanghirang-Llavore, alongside fellow department heads and focal staff.

This strategic workshop serves as a critical mechanism for local governance and public service continuity. By evaluating the AIP 2026 programs, the municipality measures the actual impact, efficiency, and gaps in current health and development initiatives. Concurrently, the formulation of the AIP 2027 allows leaders to align upcoming fiscal budgets with the evolving needs of the community. This ensures that public funds are data-driven, strategically allocated, and optimized to deliver sustainable health programs for every constituent.

The primary rationale behind this critical pre-validation is to ensure the absolute accuracy, completeness, and consistency of our local health reports and electronic records. Because "𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘢 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘥𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴," this systematic review is essential to:

* Validate the structure, digital capabilities, and reporting processes of our unit

* Address recording gaps, cross-check records, and reconcile data discrepancies

* Establish a solid data foundation for evidence-based planning, proper budgeting, and strategic resource allocation

* Align local health statistical products with the Universal Health Care (UHC) goals and standards set by the Department of Health (DOH)
