Sunday

First Reading 1 Samuel 16:1B,6-7,10-13A
Psalm 23:1-3,4,5,6
Second Reading Ephesians 5:8-14
Gospel John 9:1-6, 9,13-17,34-38

Today's readings remind us that God sees beyond what people see. While the world often judges by appearance, success, or status, God looks deeply into the heart. Like David, who was the least expected but chosen by God, we are reminded that what truly matters is a humble and faithful heart.

The Psalm reassures us that the Lord is our Shepherd. He lovingly guides us, protects us, and walks with us even through dark valleys. When we trust Him, we find peace and strength.

St. Paul also reminds us that we are called to live as children of light. Our lives should reflect goodness, truth, and love so that others may see God's light through us.

In the Gospel, Jesus heals the man born blind. While the man begins to see, others remain blind because of pride and disbelief. This reminds us that true sight is not only physical but spiritual. Jesus invites us to open our hearts so that we may truly see His presence in our lives.

Prayer: Open My Eyes, Lord๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’œ

"Lord, open my eyes so that I may see Your truth, walk in Your light, and trust in Your loving guidance."

Loving Father,
Thank You for reminding me today that You look not at my appearance or achievements, but at my heart. Help me to always come before You with sincerity, humility, and trust, just as David did when You called him.

Lord, You are my Shepherd. Lead me in the right path and guide my steps each day. When I walk through difficulties and uncertainties, remind me that You are always with me, protecting and strengthening me.

Jesus, You healed the man who was born blind. Today I ask You to open my eyes as well โ€” not only my physical eyes, but the eyes of my heart. Remove any pride, doubt, or fear that keeps me from truly seeing Your presence in my life.

Help me to walk as a child of light. May my words, actions, and choices reflect Your goodness, truth, and love so that others may see Your light through me.
Lord, I believe in You. Stay with me, guide me, and transform my heart each day.

In Jesus' Name. Amen. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ™

First Reading: Isaiah 1:10, 16โ€“20
Gospel: Matthew 23:1โ€“12

๐Ÿ›• Reflection: โ€œClean Hands, Humble Heartsโ€๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’œ

In the First Reading, the Lord speaks through Isaiah with both firmness and mercy. He calls His people to wash themselves clean, to stop doing evil, to learn to do good, to seek justice, and to defend the vulnerable.

What strikes me deeply is this:
God is not impressed by outward religious acts if the heart is not aligned with Him.

He does not desire performance.
He desires transformation.

โ€œThough your sins be like scarlet, they may become white as snow.โ€
What hope! Even when we fall short, God offers restoration โ€” not condemnation. He invites us back with love.

In the Gospel, Jesus warns against hypocrisy. The Pharisees knew the Law, taught the Law, but did not live it with humility. They sought recognition rather than righteousness.

Jesus gently reminds us: The greatest among you must be your servant.

True faith is not about titles, praise, or appearance.
It is about a quiet, sincere heart that loves God and serves others โ€” even when no one sees.

๐Ÿ’› What is God teaching us today?

Faith must be lived, not just spoken.
Humility is greater than honor.
Repentance opens the door to mercy.
Service is the true measure of greatness.

๐Ÿ™ Prayer๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ™
Lord,
Wash my heart clean from anything that does not honor You.
Teach me to do good, to seek justice, and to love sincerely.
Remove pride from my spirit.
Make me humble in service, gentle in speech, and faithful in action.

If I have been more concerned about appearance than obedience, forgive me.
Create in me a pure heart, O God.
May my life reflect You โ€” not for recognition, but for Your glory alone.

In Jesus' Name. Amen.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿฅฐ

๐Ÿ“– February 25, 2026 Reflection

First Reading: Book of Jonah 3:1โ€“10
Gospel: Gospel of Luke 11:29โ€“32

โ€œEven now, says the Lord, return to me with your whole heart, for I am gracious and merciful.โ€

How beautiful that God gives Jonah a second calling.
Jonah ran away. He hesitated. He doubted. Yet God did not cancel his purpose. God called him again.

How many times are we like Jonah?
We delay.
We ignore.
We run.
We resist.

Yet God continues to call us โ€” gently, patiently, faithfully.

In the Gospel, Jesus reminds the people that the Ninevites repented at Jonahโ€™s preaching. Repentance is not about fear. It is about returning. It is about allowing God to transform our hearts from within notes into newness.

Growth begins inside the heart.
Progress begins in surrender.
Repentance begins in humility.

If we learn to:
Listen more each day to God
Open our hearts fully
Pause and study His Word
Reflect in silence
Understand our responsibilities and purpose
Seek Godโ€™s wisdom above our own

Then transformation becomes possible.

The process of progress, repentance, and growth truly comes from within โ€” when we allow Godโ€™s grace to move inside us.

๐Ÿ™ Prayer๐Ÿ™
Lord God,
Even when I run away, You call me again.
Even when I delay, You wait patiently.
Even when I fall short, You remain gracious and merciful.

Teach me to return to You with my whole heart.
Help me to seek Your wisdom daily.
Make me more aware of Your presence in my life.

Give me courage to repent each day.
Open my eyes to my shortcomings,
not to condemn me,
but to transform me.

Form in me a humble heart,
a listening spirit,
and a willing obedience.

May my growth begin within,
and may my life reflect Your mercy.

In Jesus' Name. Amen. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿฅฐ

The Importance of God in Our Life

Without God, we are nothing.
He is our source of life, strength, wisdom, and hope.

Every day we experience:

Temptations
Challenges
Struggles
Pain
Blessings
Provision
Guidance
Protection

Life is not only about physical needs. As written in the Gospel of Luke 4:4:

โ€œOne does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.โ€

Jesus Himself, during His temptation in the desert, showed us that the Word of God is our greatest weapon.

Jesus knew:

His mission
His goal
His task โ€” to save us
His purpose โ€” to restore our personal relationship with God the Father

Through His obedience, sacrifice, and love, He gave us:

A holy life
Eternal salvation
A living relationship with the Father

๐Ÿ™ Personal Prayer๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ’œ

Lord, help me to focus on You alone.
Help me to run away from temptation.
Help me win my battle against temptation each day.

Help me to hear Your voice clearly.
Help me to focus on Your Word alone.
Clothe me with Your goodness and greatness.
Prepare me to proclaim Your Word boldly.
Teach me to study and reflect on Your Word daily.
Help me carry the shield of faith in every battle.

Without You, Lord, I am nothing.
With You, I can overcome everything.

In Jesus Name. Amen. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ’œ

๐Ÿ“– February 21, 2026

First Reading: Isaiah 58:9โ€“14
Gospel: Luke 5:27โ€“32

In todayโ€™s Gospel, Jesus calls Levi โ€” a tax collector, someone others rejected โ€” and simply says, โ€œFollow me.โ€
And Levi risesโ€ฆ and follows.

Jesus reminds us:

โ€œThose who are healthy do not need a physician, but the sick do. I have not come to call the righteous to repentance but sinners.โ€

What a comforting truth. ๐Ÿค
Jesus does not wait for us to be perfect.
He calls us in our weakness.
He calls us in our mess.
He calls us in our need.

In the First Reading, God promises that when we return to Him with sincerity, when we remove oppression and turn our hearts back to Him, He will guide us continually and restore our strength.

Today is not about shame.
It is about invitation.
It is about mercy.
It is about returning.
Just like Levi, we are called daily โ€” not once, but every morning.

My Prayer๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ™
Thank You, God, for calling me to repent.
Thank You for calling my attention to be attentive to You.
Thank You for allowing me to have a constant relationship with You.
Thank You for inviting me to follow You each day.
Thank You for allowing me to begin again.

Lord, please change my heart so I may return to You fully.
Soften what is hard within me.
Heal what is wounded within me.
Remove what keeps me far from You.

Give me the courage of Levi โ€”
to rise immediately,
to leave behind what binds me,
and to follow You faithfully each day.๐Ÿ™

In Jesus Name.Amen. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ™

I love you God๐Ÿ’œ
I love you Jesus๐Ÿ’œ
I love you Holy Spirit๐Ÿ’œ
