Here are safety tips during aftershocks:

Stay calm and protect yourself – Drop, cover, and hold on if you are indoors. Stay away from windows, glass, or anything that might fall.

If outside, stay in the Open – Avoid buildings, trees, power lines, and anything that could collapse.

Be ready to move – Aftershocks can be strong. If the building looks unsafe (cracks, leaning walls), leave immediately once it’s safe.

“Stay calm, stay alert, and stay safe. Earthquakes and aftershocks may be unpredictable, but being prepared and knowing what to do can save lives.”
