Conversation-starter tattoos are probably one of my most favorite kinds of tattoos, out there! Something that could just crack a silence, excite the eyes enough to really notice, spark some thoughts in some curious minds, urge the interaction and build some connection, eventually! And I think, this piece could very well be like that! It’s just something, that’s not straightforward, and in fact, mind-boggling, when you find out about it! But that is not a story for me to tell here!

While I was doing it though, I thought it’s gonna be easy and quick! Boy, was I wrong! It took me roughly 5hrs to finish! And in spite the time that it took for me to do this, it’s still not where I hoped it to be. But it was enough for me to tap my back for still a job well done! Looking back, I definitely learned more tricks just from this piece alone that will surely come in handy to better how I would hover around while tattooing.

By the way, this was supposed to be a pair tattoo and in opposite triceps, but since I have spent more time on the first piece than anticipated, I decided to do the other one in another time!

In the end, i was really stoked to do this piece coz it gave me a chance to reconnect with my former mentors-turned-friends! And we had a really good time after this session.

And then there are those, who get some to amplify their identity, to reflect their personality, to express their individuality and resonate with their own affinity to something, thus, they are just as significantly commendable!

Coz really, at the end of the day, if it makes you feel even better about yourself, without really affecting/hurting anyone in the process, then that should warrant ‘okay’ in this society, shouldn’t it? Why mind those who have everything to say to it, but really got nothing to show for it? Wonder what sign they belong to!

After all, tattoos don’t affect performance, productivity, professionalism, and what not, in any way! They are there, because you wanted it there, plain and simple! and you probably paid for it too, so you should have all the right to get it, not to mention, it’s your skin, it’s supposed to be your own rules that should matter first, aye?, unless of course, your horoscope probably says otherwise! [welp]

And if, in any way, it’s some real stars that got you to it, all the more reason! You’re one lucky human if that’s the case! So rock it like your sign!

Some tattoos are just too personal to share to the world; and I, for one, respect that!

I remember getting my first one, years back. Oh boy, nobody could probably imagine the build up there had been from since I started appreciating them on others’ skin for as long as I could recall, to drawing them on my skin with random pens I got my hands on, to getting stick-ons, and then henna and up to getting to that very high point of first prick of needle for my first tattoo, when I finally got it! To say it was exhilarating, is still an understatement! I could not probably put a word on it!

But did I expose it? No! Did I hide it? No! It was just there for my own amusement! It was there for me! It was there, coz it was something about me! But of course I wasn’t about to let anyone have an opinion about it but me! If one sees it, cool. If none, just as cool!

And so I’m proud of anyone getting it deliberately whether it be, for show, for their own amusement, for their own reason, for their own sentiment or expression, wherever it may be coming from, it’s all good! For sure, there was somehow some build up to getting there too! And I reckon, that experience was on such a high too, to say the least!

All I’m probably saying is, just keep doing you or whatever! Just don’t bleed out, out there! đŸ©ž

It already takes a ton load of sustainable commitment to get a tattoo, due to the pain it requires one to go through, and the challenge of its permanence after the fact. But to get a tattoo, shared with another person, is of course, a showcase of a higher level of not just commitment, but trust, and loyalty and love.

And to still want and have something that others have failed to sustain, time and time again, is just commendable and truly admirable! Inspires you to believe in love all over again, really!

While others have completely given up on what love is all about, there are still those who keep it firm, together, and make it a step further, in the name of love!

True love? Is it real? Well, don’t bleed out, out there and find out! đŸ©ž

Surely, there are those of us, who aren’t good with words, and have found their way of expressing their unspoken ordeals, profound sentiments and to some degree, their untapped soul, unable to be translated into fathomable ideas, but through tattoos. And that’s equally just as beautiful as music, poems, odes and other forms of expression! And everyone should just respect it and let be.

At the end of the day, if it doesn’t affect or harm or inconvenience you in any way, why the need to have an opinion towards it and be so pressed about it?

Think about that, and don’t bleed out, out there! đŸ©ž

I first posted about this tattoo on my personal account, as it had an actual personal impact on me. It’s a commissioned piece by a good friend - despite me being just a “caterpillar” at best, in the trade if tattooing.

Did you know about the butterfly effect?

“The butterfly effect is the idea that small things can have non-linear impacts on a complex system. The concept is imagined with a butterfly flapping its wings and causing a typhoon.”

I may be exaggerating my case right now but hear me out!

At the time, where everybody was looking, simply loooking, and at the time where I was just forming the idea of venturing into tattooing as I’ve always wanted to do the trade as another way to channel my creativity, or at least that’s how I see it, one of my oldest friends Tin ( ), was already there at Day 0, reaching out, reacting to every stories I throw about it, following every progress I make, and simply being positively supportive. She even volunteered to be my first client, once I get a good hang of it. She did that, while all others were just looking. I remember, because, first responders usually make the greatest impacts!

And so despite being real busy with all the other things that I do! It was now time to reciprocate, as I though I’m ready too. And she made it easy for me to free up my schedule, because she was there at the start. So, lo and behold, my first official client did became her!

And earlier, during our tattoo session, we were just joking about how she’ll plug me and boost my reach, being the influencer that we laughed about she was! Then, something crazy happened just after she posted about it. To my surprise upon waking up from my afternoon nap, I had a crazy amount of inquiries waiting to be responded and a few additional follows. And it was flattering, knowing that on a daily basis, people were just, well, usually looking.

And so, I’m so freaking stoked that Tinay’s “butterfly effect” has finally made a really good turn for !

So, Tin, Salamat guid! đŸ„ș

And to y’all, if you have a friend, doing what he/she is very passionate about, I suggest, you start flapping your wings for them now too! Coz you might be that one little draft of wind that could make him/her fly high! It’s free after all!

I may be a caterpillar right now, but I sure am already building a really good ‘chrysalis’ to better this craft, hoping I too, may be able to disperse some big ’butterfly effect’ to others!
