💔 HEARTBREAKING SIGHT AT KABANKALAN PUBLIC WET MARKET
Today, I couldn't hold back my tears. I saw this "City of Kabankalan Dog Pound Carrier" parked at the public wet market with impounded dogs inside.
One of the dogs appears blind, and another is still wearing a collar and leash, clearly someone's pet that managed to slip away or was left unattended. All I could give them at the moment was 2 pieces of fried chicken to eat. I couldn't even give them water, and my heart breaks knowing what kind of conditions they are enduring right now.
This leaves so many urgent questions for the Kabankalan City Administration and the City Veterinary Office:
● What is the exact standard operating procedure after these dogs are impounded?
● Is there complete transparency regarding where these dogs are taken and how long they are held before extreme measures are taken?
● Are impounded animals given basic shelter, food, water, and medical care while in captivity, or are they left to suffer?
● How can owners reclaim missing pets before it’s too late?
To pet owners: Pets are a lifelong responsibility, not something to abandon or let wander carelessly into danger.
These animals deserve humane treatment, compassion, and transparency from our local government. We share this world with them, they should not suffer in silence.
