Kaya tara, kain!

JUST IN: Excellence has once again found a home in EspaΓ±a. The University of Santo Tomas (UST) College of Nursing has officially extended its legendary legacy, maintaining its flawless 12-year streak of a 100% passing rate in the recently released Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination (PNLE) August 2026 results.

According to the results announced by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on September 19, 2026, the newly minted Thomasian Registered Nurses (RNs) achieved a clean sweep, reinforcing the college's status as one of the premier institutions for Nursing education in the country.

This year’s triumph holds an even deeper significance. Batch 2026 faced unprecedented hurdles during the examination period, navigating test schedules disrupted by adverse weather conditions and heavy rainfall warnings that required rescheduled dates across the National Capital Region. Yet, true to Thomasian grit, discipline, and unwavering resilience, the graduates rose above the elements to secure their hard-earned places in the nursing profession.

The nationwide board exam, administered across multiple regional centers on August 29-30 and September 11-12, 2026, saw a total of 28,652 passers out of 37,359 examinees nationwide (76.69%). Amidst a fiercely competitive landscape, UST’s 100% performance stands as a testament to the rigorous academic training, compassionate values, and holistic formation instilled by the College of Nursing faculty, as well as the relentless hard work and late-night sacrifices of the students.

As these newly licensed professionals look forward to their much-anticipated oathtaking ceremonies, they carry with them not only more than just a license, but also bearing the torch of Thomasian excellence.

To the brilliant minds and compassionate hearts of Batch 2026: Mabuhay kayo, and congratulations on another gold-standard victory! The nation’s healthcare system awaits your extraordinary service. πŸ’šπŸ’›

Remember those times when we grew up watching The Lorax and WALL-E, thinking they were just cautionary tales for us children? Welp, apparently those remain as relevant warnings and right now, we’re living the same reality as them.

When the lives of our indigenous people remain at stake due to the desire to have large-scale data hubs.

When amidst the flood control hearings and pinpointing, our lands continue to drown in toxic floods.

As our hospitals overflow with leptospirosis patients (as of current), the government’s response to this public health nightmare? Slashing the healthcare budget down.

We traded our ecosystems for digital gold to feed foreign supply chains and continue leaving a vital healthcare system with lesser budget, leaving ordinary Filipinos to pay the ultimate price. The Once-ler isn't a cartoon villain anymore, rather being no other than those who are supposed to be seen as role models for the betterment of the Filipino nation.

You will stare at the window of reality with acceptance and sorrow both, ambivalence great in its lumbering shadow. πŸͺŸ

You will be confronted with the asymmetry in its rawest form; the person you are is still who you once were, only that the window is long gone.

We built our castles out of morning clouds and reaped only the tempest at dusk.

As the portcullis rises over the Colosseum sand, are we not all just mice caught in Caesar's golden trap? After all, a proud man is simply a rodent cursed with foresight. 🏰
