The Patient Safety Committee in collaboration with the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Unit, successfully conducted the Basic Skills Training on Safe Patient Transfer and Handling and the Application of Restraint, strengthening the knowledge and skills of our healthcare professionals in delivering safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care.

By promoting proper transfer techniques and the appropriate use of restraints, we continue to uphold our commitment to preventing patient harm and fostering a culture of safety.

In observance of World Patient Safety Day 2025, the UP Manila - Philippine General Hospital and Patient Safety & Healthcare Quality hosted the Patient Safety & Healthcare Quality Forum 2025 entitled: Safe Beginning: Patient Safety in Primary Care & Pediatrics. This year's event focuses on a critical, yet often overlooked, area of healthcare: ensuring the safety of our youngest patients from their first moments of care.

Bawat bata ay may karapatang makatanggap ng ligtas at de-kalidad na pangangalaga sa kalusugan — mula sa kanilang pagsilang.

Ngunit ang mga sanggol at batang nasa murang edad ay mas mataas ang panganib dahil sa mabilis na paglaki, natatanging pangangailangang medikal, at pagdepende nila sa matatanda upang ipaglaban ang kanilang karapatan sa tamang gamutan. Kung hindi akma ang serbisyong ibinibigay ayon sa kanilang edad, laki, at kalagayan, maaari silang malagay sa panganib na magdulot ng pangmatagalang epekto sa kanilang kalusugan at kinabukasan.

Ngayong taon, nakikiisa ang Tondo Medical Center at TondoMed Patient Safety Committee sa pagdiriwang ng World Patient Safety Day 2025 na nakatuon sa pagbibigay ng ligtas na pangangalaga para sa lahat ng sanggol at batang mula pagsilang hanggang siyam (9) na taon gulang.

🤝 Nanawagan ang World Health Organization (WHO) at ang TondoMed sa mga magulang, tagapag-alaga, health practitioners, g**o, at buong komunidad na magsama-sama upang maiwasan ang pinsalang maaaring iwasan, at makabuo ng mas ligtas at mas malusog na kinabukasan para sa bawat bata.

Dito sa Tondo Medical Center, nananatili kaming tapat sa aming misyon: “Kaligtasan ng Pasyente, mula sa simula.” 🧡

Sa selebrasyon ng Patient Safety Awareness Week 2025 na may temang "Together, we are moving the needle: Turning awareness into action for safer patients and care teams," inihahandog ng Patient Safety Committee ang PechaKucha on the Wheels!

Ang PechaKucha on the Wheels ay isang makabagong paraan ng pagbabahagi ng mahahalagang kaalaman tungkol sa tamang pangangalaga sa ating mga pasyente, maging sa ospital man o sa kanilang mga tahanan.

Ano ang matututunan sa ating PechaKucha on the Wheels?
1. Tamang pangangalaga sa mga pasyenteng may medical device o tubo
2. Mga paraan upang maiwasan ang pressure ulcer at decompression syndrome
3. Wastong paggamit ng mga gamot
