The Fitness Advocate didn't only watch but also performed in Twisted Tales, the recital show of Elite Aerial Arts for 2026 held on May 17 at the UP Theater in QC.

'Twas actually my fourth consecutive time to join the studio's annual showcase of its students' performances in pole dance, aerial arts, and other dance forms.

Chose aerial straps this time around, which also marked the debut of Ian Milan as a recital class teacher. He created a piece based on the German fairy tale, The Bremen Town Musicians, in line with the recital's theme & to the tune of The Junction's moving song, Strong.

Led the group of villains that's oppressive to animals. Thus, the dark costume & makeup, plus the whip! Funnn🤪

Congratulations to all the performers & the people behind Elite, along with the production staff, crew & volunteers.

Bravo! 🥳👏💯

Here's how busy moms stay fit and motivated without burning out.

Camille Alipio-Luzande works out four times a week and does brisk walking every chance she gets.

“You ask me why I'm doing this, while I'm also busy being a full-time WFH momma? Simple, I wanted to be stronger and healthier for my kids and tbh, for myself,” she points out.

Diane Bautista Leyva is into sulty pole dance and aerial arts.

“As a mom who is always on the go and keeps a night shift work schedule, I have to make sure that I am healthy and fit, most specially now at my age with perimenopausal symptoms,” she explains.

Dhi-dhi Eugenio plays pickleball to be physically active while actively supporting her daughter Nicole Eugenio, a professional pickleball player in the United States and the number one in the Philippine ranking.

“We should always support our daughter's journey,” the active mom says. And, yes, It may lead to your own fitness journey, too.

🖐🖐🖐 Diid you know that muscle mass decreases from 3 to 8 percent per decade starting at age 30?

That’s why regular exercise, especially strength training, is highly recommended👍 Another must-do is having sufficient protein in the diet👍

The general rule is for protein to supply anywhere between 10 percent and 35 percent of the daily intake of calories.

For an average sedentary adult, the recommended dietary allowance to prevent deficiency is 0.8 grams per kilogram of body weight.

If you exercise regularly, you need to consume more protein, about 1.1 to 1.5 grams per kilogram per day.

However, going for as much as 2 grams per kilogram can be considered excessive protein intake.
