In Celebration of Filipino Social Workers’ Day 🇵🇭🤝

Today, we stand in unity with everyone celebrating this year's theme: “Mula Harambee Tungo sa Bayanihan: Panawagan sa Pagbubuklod, Paghilom at Sama-samang Pagkilos ng Social Workers para sa Bayan.” True social transformation and community healing require collective action, strategic collaboration, and dedicated leadership.

With this in mind, we express our heartfelt gratitude to our Medical Center Chief II, Dra. Shalimar Sani Rakiin, and our Chief of Medical Professional Staff II, Dr. Moamar M. Casim, for their exceptional leardership and constant support of our social services.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to Hon. Jalalodien Rasuman, Brgy. Chairman of Boganga Shelter II, Marawi City, for his commitment to grassroots community welfare. Thank you, Chairman, for championing our information drive.

This initiative is led by Ma'am Laarni C. Dagalangit with the support of Ma'am Hayanisah R. Adil and the entire MSS staff. Their professional expertise, diligence, and genuine malasakit serve as the pillar of our daily operations and community activities.

Together, let us continue to unite, heal, and work in synergy for the sustainable development of the communities we serve.

𝘔𝘶𝘭𝘢 𝘏𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘦 𝘵𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘰 𝘴𝘢 𝘉𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘩𝘢𝘯 🤝

Isang taos-pusong pagbati sa lahat ng mga Social Workers at mga katuwang sa serbisyo na makikibahagi sa makabuluhang pagtitipong ito. Sa diwa ng pagkakaisa, pagtutulungan, at malasakit, sama-sama nating palakasin ang ating adhikain na maghatid ng pag-asa, paghilom, at positibong pagbabago sa ating mga komunidad.

Tunay na ang lakas ng isang komunidad ay nakasalalay sa pagkakapit-bisig ng bawat isa. Mula Harambee tungo sa Bayanihan, patuloy nating isabuhay ang diwa ng sama-samang pagkilos, pag-unawa, at malasakit upang makalikha ng mas makatao, mas matatag, at mas mapagkalingang lipunan para sa lahat. Sama-sama tayong maging daan ng pag-asa at pagbabago para sa bayan. 🇵🇭🤝

A Celebration of Service & Spirit! 🐐🕌

We capped off our MSS Monthly Meeting with a Post-Eid al-Adha Kandori, celebrating the dedication, hard work, and commitment of our team. Alhamdulillah for another meaningful gathering filled with gratitude.

Our warmest thanks to Dra. Shalimar Sani-Rakiin for joining us in this special feast and for her continued support and inspiration. Once again, Eid al-Adha Mubarak from the MSS Family. 🤲🏻✨ تَقَبَّلَ ٱللَّٰهُ مِنَّا وَمِنكُمْ

The Medical Social Service Department successfully conducted the Student Intern Exit Conference for the Social Work interns from Lanao Islamic Paramedical College Foundation Inc. (LIPCFI) who have completed their 1,000-hour internship training at Amai Pakpak Medical Center.

The event was graced by the presence of Dra. Shalimar Sani-Rakiin, Medical Center Chief II, who delivered an inspirational message. Also present was Mr. Dionesio L. Buroy Jr., Chief Administrative Officer, who delivered the welcome address, and Ms. Hazel T. Martinez, Finance Management Officer, who likewise shared her message for the student interns. The department likewise extends its sincere appreciation to Ms. Merlyn S. Lugo, Ms. Anna Najieva B. Lucman, and Ms. Sahara U. Marohom for their support and presence during this significant milestone.

We extend our deepest appreciation to Lanao Islamic Paramedical College Foundation Inc. for the trust and confidence given in providing meaningful training opportunities for future social workers.

This activity was spearheaded by Ms. Laarni C. Dagalangit, Head of the Medical Social Service Department, together with her dynamic and dedicated staff.

In celebration of World Social Work Day 2026, with the theme “Co-Building Hope and Harmony: A Harambee Call to Unite a Divided Society,” the Medical Social Service, guided by Ma’am Laarni Dagalangit and supported by APMC Medical Center Chief Dra. Shalimar Sani-Rakiin and APMC CMPS Dr. Moamar Casim, conducted an Islamic seminar with Sheikh Isa L. Ibrahim as the resource speaker. This was followed by the distribution of grocery packs and rice to participants.

The MSS extends its sincere gratitude to all partners whose generosity made these activities possible. May your support yield lasting rewards and continue to strengthen hope, unity, and the spirit of compassionate service within the community.

𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗 𝗦𝗢𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

On March 17, 2026, the world celebrates World Social Work Day under the theme “Co-Building Hope and Harmony: A Harambee Call to Unite a Divided Society.” This year’s celebration is especially significant as it falls during the sacred month of Ramadan, a time of reflection, compassion, and service.

In line with these values, the Amai Pakpak Medical Center - Medical Social Service will hold an Islamic Seminar Lecture on the same day. May this celebration during Ramadan inspire us to serve with compassion, nurture unity, and continue co-building hope and harmony across our communities.

Mabuhay po sa lahat ng ating Manggagawang Panlipunan! Maraming salamat sa inyong dedikasyon, malasakit, at sa patuloy na paglilingkod sa ating komunidad. 🤝💛
